OK Hillary may win Indiana.. That is not going to help her much when she is behind in most all categories - delegates, popular vote, money, etc..

She has to win North Carolina to make her case to even stay in this race..
The rest of the races are small after this Tuesday and will go probably 50/50 to either candidate.

Just sayin, if she loses NC Tuesday she may stay in this race but she needs to accept her odds of winning the nomination are almost 0.. She should stop all negative campaigning against our nominee. It is only helping McCain beyond Tuesday..

9. Yes, but to the msm and Hillary, NC don't count because they have a sizable AA community there.
Only low information white male blue collar workers seem to matter.

Sometimes not. (Vilsack).

We'll see how Carolinians weigh in.

14. The original poster means that the delegate poll left available will shrink
after North Carolina. The rest of the contests are not big enough (in terms of delegates) to play catch-up.. However you knew exactly what the OP meant.

8. "Winning" and "losing" mean nothing at this point for Clinton...it's the margins.
She can "win" every state from here on out by 20% and she'll still be in last place.

Personally, I'd like to see Obama win NC and OR and get within 5 in Indiana, but it's not necessary. Unless Clinton puls off 30-point wins in all of the remaining races, Obama will win the nomination.

This is a perfect example of why new Dem politics like the 50-state strategy are so valuable. Clinton has done o.k. in the traditional Dem strongholds, but she got slaughtered in states that are usually "fly-over" states...and that has come back to haunt her.

12. Neither Clinton nor Obama can win the nomination outright with

the agreed-upon 2025 with elected delegates.

Neither is the clear choice of the electorate in what has become a close two-person race in a highly-flawed process. The "winner" will have to be dragged across the finish line by unelected super delegates.

That is the dilemma the party faces.

And that is why both sides are spinning so furiously, redefinig what constitutes a victory, since neither side managed to achieve one.

No matter what the super delegates decide, followers of the losing candidate not selected to be dragged over the finish line are going to feel cheated.

So much for a united party going into the general election.

Win or lose in November, we should come up with some better rules for 2012.

19. No it is not. Nowhere in the rule book does it say anything about 50%+1 being anything like that. nt

21. Ooookaaay.
Why don't you show me the numbers, friend. You show me that 2025 is some sort of agree upon number of elected delegates.

This should be interesting.

20. I don't think there are any arguments strong enough to justify Hillary's campaign at this point.
She has stayed in this race for her own reasons not because it is logical to do so.
