Voted for Hillary Clinton this morning in NC. It felt great!
Lots of people out voting this morning, I come from a small town 45 minutes west of Charlotte. I've never had to wait in line before when voting in a primary, this morning I had to wait about half an hour. Can't wait to see how this turns out, but regardless it's great to see so many people voting in the primary today.

100. If you wanted him to stay out of a reply you sent to another poster
then you should have sent it as a private message. That goes for pretty much everyone on here. If it's on the public messageboard, it's open to everyone.

but I think I said (down thread) everything I need to about the "maturity" factor of those who use the ignore feature. Ignore says nothing about the poster you choose to run away from and says a hell of a lot about YOU. ;)

10. Never take Democracy for granted
Regardless of whether you're a Clinton supporter, or an Obama supporter, or hell even a McCain supporter, we can never take democracy for granted. Just take a gander at the world news on any given day and realize that even though our country is in trouble, and we have lots of room for improvement, there are still tons of MUCH worse places in the world we could be.

Standing in line to vote on a nice day is a feeling that, no matter who you support, you should revel in.

but really, Frenchie, this was not an appropriate response. The OP was expressing joy over their right to express their opinion in the voting booth. As Americans and Democrats, we should be celebrating that.

Even if we are on different sides of the fence. I just wish the candidates would really talk about the issues and not just sniper fire and the wright stuff. We need a Democratic dialogue. We need to hammer out how to fix this country. I hope that we can focus this same energy into defeating the republican.

91. Oh, you went for playing board monitor to playing ettiquette police...
...in less than 60 seconds. You must be a joy to be around in real life....assuming you have one with the 'tude you display.

Geeeeez, who the hell do you think you are that you have some right to decide who does and not not have a right to speak his/her mind? Sorry, but it is the DU and not you who decided the rules. Go play control freak elsewhere.

Congrats, you are the first Obama support that has won the distinction of making my IGNORE list! :hi:

94. I have every right to hate Hillary Clinton and I do.
If you don't like a board which has differing points of view and you cannot stand to be challenged, the I suggest you either grow up, get some armour or fucking leave.

Stop the inane Hillbot whining. Your Queen has the highest negatives of anyone in the running for POTUS. Accept there are people who hate her lying ass and think she would lie if the truth served her better ~~ witness the sniper fire lies about Bosnia.

You don't like what I have to say ~~ use the INGORE button cuz I have an absolute right to think that anyone supporting Hillary is supporting the destruction of the Democratic Party. As far as I am concerned, a vote of Hillary is a vote for John McCain.

If you do not like opinions which are the opposite of yours, then you sure as fuck are in the wrong place ~~ that is what this forum is all about...free discussion. If you cannot stand the heat, you know how to leave, right?

And anyone who tries to stiffle an opinion with which he/she disagrees? That is helping with hateful ways in your book? You are one sick puppy. You are talking to someone who was in anti-war protests in the 1960s and who saw what was done to those who disagreed with an opinion. Get a clue, OK? You don't like people speaking out against what you have to say? Your problem...not mine.

No, she shouldn't use the ignore button on you. Because it would be a sign of the utmost immaturity.
Edited on Tue May-06-08 09:58 AM by musicblind
People who use the ignore button on those they disagree with... it says nothing about the people they ignore, and says a hell of a lot about them.

Feel free to ignore me if you disagree, it will only be making another statement of your ability to handle dissent to the viewers of this board.

57. Ain't it great that your primary counts?
The best thing about the extended primary season has been the fact that states who never had any say about the nominaiton in the past get a chance to express their opinions.

This helps build grass roots infrastructure that will help the party for decades to come.

63. I agree this is the first time I have felt that the NC primary means something,
since I started voting. It's been great for our state 1.5 million voting in the Democratic primary, only 500,000 voting in the publican primary. NC may go totally blue in November.

122. Wow, that photo reminds me of something
All Americans want to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons and interfering on the ground inside Iraq. Yet President Bush’s saber rattling gives the US little additional leverage to engage and dissuade Iran, and, more than likely, simply accelerates a dangerous slide into war. The United States can do better than this.
