I honestly am sad about Hillary........
I am a 1000% supporter of Obama now but still so sad and disappointed that Hillary turned out like she has.

I used to love the Clintons and loved Bill Clinton. I was so excited when Hillary was going to run for president. And thought she would win easily.

Then she turned into this "Win at all cost" person whos EGO was out of control. She started to say anything she could to win the nomination. And the arrogance about being the nominee turned me off. And Bill turned out to be a bitter man who would do anything to help Hillary win.

Then she mocked Obama and she made fun of his speeches and supporters. At that point I felt like I lost a best friend. Someone who I used to respect and they totally disappointed me.

I saw Hillary for who she really was and felt stupid for supporting her. That is when Obama became my candidate. I realized real change would not come from Hillary. Just the same old school Washington politics.

Maybe this sounds corney but it is 100% honest.

Barack, you are the first and only candidate I have ever gave money too and made phone calls for!

Good luck tonight Barack Obama! You are a once in a lifetime candidate!

11. Meh. I think mostly she offended where people were inclined to be offended.
She's fought a hard campaign. I think she's won some short term gains in exchange for long term harm to her ability to govern. But there's nothing's she said that I couldn't get past if I needed to. Sure, she's a diminished role model and she's possibly even done some lasting damage to her husband's legacy. It's a shame, but it's inevitable.

Had she been the nominee, it's clear this is the kind of campaign she'd run in the fall--take the fight to the them, never wind up on the defensive. McCain, of course, would hit back a hell of a lot harder than Obama has. I hope Obama learns a few lessons from Clinton. But I'll be even more glad to see him get this nomination run all finished up.

Me too... The mocking was what did it for me as well. Although I was for Biden, not really for Hillary even at the start. Obama took some getting used to for me, but now I really really love him. I do think he is a truly transformative candidate... can't wait to see what he'll do in the White House!

18. Hillary was one of my heroes growing up
And if you told me 10 years ago that I wouldn't be supporting her run for president I'd be really surprised. And my decision not to support her a lot less to do with her than it did with how inspiring I found Obama. I am very disappointed in Clinton's campaign tactics, and may have to hold my nose to vote for her in the fall. But every now and then, she shows her softer side and pulls at my heartstrings a little and reminds me of the woman I grew up admiring.

28. I'm waiting as well...
I have been struggling to keep an open mind about Hillary, and I haven't sunk to a level of loathing yet but I have definitely lost a lot of respect for her. If she keeps her promise and gets squarely behind Obama if he wins the nomination, it will go a long way toward healing wounds. I think the same can be said for both candidates, really, but I have no reason to believe that Obama wouldn't support her if she were to wrap up the nomination.

33. ohmygod. I can't take this sh** anymore
Clinton must be perfect or you all hate her. She has done nothing different than Obama, and yet he gets a free pass...Clinton?

"Then she turned into this "Win at all cost" person whos EGO was out of control. She started to say anything she could to win the nomination. And the arrogance about being the nominee turned me off. And Bill turned out to be a bitter man who would do anything to help Hillary win."

Obama actually suggested that Clinton was partially responsible for Bhutto--HER FRIEND'S--death. What a horric thing to say. And to top it off, is shows a complete lack of historical knowledge.

"Then she mocked Obama and she made fun of his speeches and supporters. At that point I felt like I lost a best friend. Someone who I used to respect and they totally disappointed me." Where are you when Obama mocks Clinton? Where are you when he calls her names and shouts "Racism!" from the rooftops of SC and NC?

"I saw Hillary for who she really was and felt stupid for supporting her. That is when Obama became my candidate. I realized real change would not come from Hillary. Just the same old school Washington politics. Maybe this sounds corney but it is 100% honest."

Not corney: uninformed, biased, with eyes shut and ears covered and shouting lalalalala to avoid seeing the actions of Obama.

who very openly and kindly shared her feelings of disappointment - not hate as you so blatantly claimed.

Are you so enamoured of your candidate that you think anyone who disagrees with her, is disappointed with her or otherwise doesn't think she's the second coming is full of "wall-chewing hate" or is an idiot being manipulated by the lies?

Your attacks on the OP say much more about you than they do about anything she said.

I'm not using one post as an example. I'm using literally hundreds of posts here that rely on right wing talking points, dredging up old scandals, contain obvious and outright lies, or call explicitly for Clinton not to be defeated, but to be destroyed.

Posts that call her a murderer. Posts that call her a bitch, a witch, a cunt. Posts that call her evil.

That's hate.

62. Wow - you guys are losing it
You've now reached the point where even the mildest criticism of your candidate - saying one is "disappointed" in her because they expected better - is interpreted by you as "vile" and "lie-filled."

Anyone reading the OP and then reading your over-the-top reactions to them can clearly see where the distortion lies. You and your buddy have responded to a reasonable, eloquent and very fair post with lies, smears, attacks that is little more than an outright childish hissyfit.

I know this is a bad night for your candidate - just as Obama has had some bad nights - but it's really a shame that you are lashing out this way. It only makes you look irrational and certainly does not do a lick of good for your candidate.

Maybe you should take a break and go do something else for awhile.

He started running for office as soon as he was sworn in as Senator. He is ego personified.

And he was pretty well content to let a whisper campaign painting the Clintons as racists take hold and run through the primaries. Oh, he keeps himself at arm's length from it, but the day that someone paints Bill and Hillary Clinton as racists - and gets away with it - is a sad day.

42. Yes, whether Hillary supporters believe it or not,
This race has been full of heartbreak and betrayal for many loyal Democrats and long-time Clinton supporters. It raises so many questions. Have the Clintons really been like this all along or have they changed? Is it Stockholm Syndrome? Or was it just cold, political calculation that led them to believe this was the only possible path to victory?

Who knows how things would have turned out if they had decided to go in another direction?

The first serious woman candidate, to boot.

65. She'll be alright
And one thing that she did that I will always admire. During the Lewinsky debacle, only Hillary showed one ounce of grace. What her motivation for that grace was is between Hillary and Bill. But of all the people in that silly show, Hillary stood tall and therefore powerful.

She's a helluva gal and though she might not have done everything like Obama I hope will do, I still would have felt a BEAUCOUP MORE CONFIDENT WITH HILLARY than McCain.

We have not seen the last of that one.

67. She morphed into bush. When she uttered, ...'with us or against us..'.
she deserved to lose at that point.

68. No me, not at all. The Clintons have take our Party to the far political right.
They've been so spoiled with power and privilege for so long they think that they are ENTITLED to a third term within The Executive Branch.

Not. This. Time.

Until HRC drops out. NO SLACK! :nuke:
