I will vote for Hillary
if she gets the nomination. I am an Obama supporter, but I could never help McCain win. This country would not recover. Hillary has done a lot these pass few weeks to piss me off, my respect for her has been greatly diminished. I do think she will harm the party if she stays in the race too long. That said, if by chance she gets the nomination I would not think twice to vote for her. Any Democrat that acts like a spoiled child and says they will vote for McCain if their candidate loses is just not thinking straight. Grow up people!

No way. I will stay home. As time passes, I keep seeing more and more similarities between her and McCain.

10. Better to have "similarities" than the authentic McCain
Don't you think? Even if you think Hillary is only a shade better, isn't that a shade better? McCain is very much like Bush... this country will die a horrid death if we have four more years. Staying home is a vote for McCain. Seriously, it is.

She is no improvement over McSame - hell at least HE served, she hasn't.

I will write in either Gore or Obama. But I will NOT vote for HRC. If I want to vote for someone with repuke tactics. I will vote repuke.

HRC is a former Goldwater Gal who is now talking reverentially about her Repub dad....

Time for a clean break.

19. Goldwater is closer to a Democrat now
than the Republicans are! Have you read anything about Goldwater? They have re-released one of this books, and several very progressive people have written awesome reviews... forward by George Will and a new afterward is written by RFK, Jr.

If we all have to become Republicans after this election is stolen again, I'll try my best to take the party back for them... they are nothing close to what Goldwater was.

I talk reverently about my Repub dad all the time... especially now that he's a registered Dem for the first time in his life. He too has realized the Democratic party is closer to the Republican party of his youth.

Don't let the buzz words fool you... read and think for yourself.

26. I understand your frustration
I feel the same way about her, and the same way about Obama too. They aren't all that much different, Obama is just more suave and sophisticated about his ways. That might be a good thing for a new president to have, but on the other hand, being able to work with Republicans in a bipartisan way is a good thing too, and I think that is what Hillary would bring. I can find a lot wrong with both, and a few things right. Mind you, as an Edwards gal, my ideals are pretty damn far away from both of the current candidates. But they aren't in the same boat as the current Republicans! I should say, Neo-cons! They are evil, pure evil and greed.

I'm going to vote for whomever gets the nomination, and I don't much care which one gets it. I thought from the beginning that they are two peas in a pod... I still feel that way. But Obama gets points for smooth, and Hillary gets points for knowing her enemies very well. Six of one, half dozen of the other.

Hillary
NO on Amendment No. 4882 that would have banned the use of cluster bombs in civilian areas.
YES on Bankruptcy bill which stripped protections for people in debt.
YES on Kyle/Lieberman bill that sets the stage for the US to take military action against Iran (fool me once).
YES on the Iraq War Resolution.
Hillary refused to sign the AFC Anti-Torture Pledge

...and I gave a reason for it.

Hillary Clinton put herself in this position. Don't blame me for speaking the truth about how I see it.

And I HAVE been around the voting booth once or twice, you know.

Edited on Wed May-07-08 10:52 AM by Juniperx
Yet I expect you will persist in your delusion. Comparing a Dem candidate with a Republican is very divisive to the party. That's how I see it. You see, that's the difference between opinion and fact. You got your facts confused with opinions when you said McCain was actually better than Clinton because he never threatened to bomb Iran. In my opinion, basing one's opinion on erroneous information renders faulty opinion.

It's now impossible for her to get it any other way. Voting for the candidate that the person feels will make a better president isn't being a spoiled child. It is showing integrity. If she steals the nomination , I will not be casting a vote for president.

22. I don't have grandchildren yet, but
I will vote for the Democratic nominee whoever it is.

McCain has said he'll appoint Supreme Court Judges from the Dark Ages.
Clinton and Obama have said they would not. The next justices appointed
to the Supreme Court will be around to affect the lives of my children,
possibly my grandchildren. That fact alone is enough to ensure I will not
toss my vote off on a protest third party.

Plus, with the likely majorities in both House and Senate, either one in
the White House will pursue a more liberal agenda than McCain would. Some
disagree, but I don't buy their arguments. "Hillary=McCain," for Pete's sake.
I may not be her biggest fan, but that one is pure propaganda, and smacks of
Rove planting seeds of discord.

Give me either one. This time, a vote against the Democratic nominee is a de
facto vote for McCain. Spin it how you want. More importantly, VOTE how you
want. Just don't tell me that a narrow victory for McCain in your state is
the Democrats' fault if you voted against us. It's your fault, too. Your right,
but your fault. If McCain gets in, and his Supreme Court decides it's OK to bust
in anyone's door at 3 AM if their neighbor says they have terrrrist tendencies,
maybe then you'll understand what this is all about. Don't hand me that "no
difference" crap. I heard it all from the Nader crowd in 2000. I guess if there's
anyone out there who still believes there was no difference in 2000 will swallow
it again, but people who believed it in 2000 and still believe it now, still pray
to the tooth fairy.

Grow up, indeed.

The Supreme Court! McCain loves Scalia and Thomas. Think about this people. Hillary is nothing like McCain, her Healthcart proposal is actually more progressive than Obama's and she does want to get out of Iraq. I am an Obama supporter, but to write that Hillary and McCain are the same is just willful, stubborn ignorance.
