I look at some of these posts and can't help but think that FR poster-freeps
are actually getting off on some of these posts here..

I think the message has been lost somewhere....I don't know where because I'm a bit drunk at the moment, but I think it is truly time we all pull together...I support Hillary, there is no doubt...she is a strong leader, has a good head on her shoulders and is just tough as nails....Obama is not.

Obama will fold in the GE if he is nominated....McSame has too many backers to counter this dirty game, and honestly, Hillary is the only one who can nail him in this category...yeah, she can play dirty; this is what politics is all about. Barack has not shown me any backbone so far as his message of "Hope and Change" which is supposed to mystify me in some way, but it has not.

I will begrudgingly vote for him if he is the nominee...although I feel he is not ready yet, but first and foremost there MUST be a Democrat in the White House this election period.....

I'm tired...I'm really tired of the fighting, the petty arguments..it's amazing how much an internet message board can take out of a person, but being here after all this and reading and taking in this-and-that can really wear on a person...people...I just want this FUCKING THING to be OVER!!!!!!!

1. Has Obama folded under the kitchen sink?
Being tough does not equal nasty.

4. Has he really? I'm not sure....he has taken some hits, sure, but that's what this game is all about
and make no mistake about it, politics IS a game...who knows how this whole mess will play out, after all...I just want an end to it!

8. Same here.....being here just exhausts me at times, emotionally...
but then I remind myself that it is just an internet message board...nothing else. I can come here and voice ( type ) my opinion of something, but you know what? it really doesn't matter anymore....

No matter what we type here, no matter how many rec's we get for our posts ( or responses ) nothing changes outside of this site....NOTHING..

Now,I'm looking at the convention.....

10. Hey...sorry if that sounded too "partisan" for you...but I was talking for my candidate, there..
sorry if you didn't recognize that....but oh well...

Obama WILL fold before the GOP slime machine that so many of us have witnessed in the past elections....just like Bush, McSame'e slime committee will pull out all the tricks in the book, and Barack is just-too-GREEN to take them on! And who would be his advisor's then?

9. When you sober up maybe you can realize that yes, the old politics can be dirty.
And Clinton is very good at that sort of thing. But that's the whole point. Obama is all about much needed change. He wants to do away with the dirty old style of politics which is not working and substitute it with a new politics that concentrates on doing what's best for the country. That's why I support him.

13. Hill is a sucky fighter. She punches herself as often as she hits Obama
she couldn't run a campaign worth shit. She had every advantage imaginable and she lost it. She whined incessently. She threw the kitchen sink. She's not as strong or as good a fighter as Obama. He makes it look easy. She's constantly panting. He stands a better chance against McCan't than Hill.

15. You really think so?
You think his panties won't be a little tight against McSame on some of the issues? You think he can't stand up to the Repub slime-machine like so many of our Democratic nominees have stood up to in the past? You know...your guess is as good as mine ( and despite your optimism, it's only a guess at this point ) but let's just wait and see, shall we? I will stay with Hillary until the convention, if it goes that far, but if it doesn't I will vote for the Democratic nominee...St. Barack

18. Yes. I really think so. I've thought so for months. He's a natural
she's not. I don't think Obama is any Saint or Messiah or any of that mindless shit. I do think he's a street fighter who knows how to win. Hill? Not so much. I certainly would have voted for her if she had been the nominee, but I think he's the stronger opponent against McCain.

14. Just for grins, I went to FR on Sunday.
1. Their comments about Hillary were nowhere near as nasty as those on DU.

2. They have their game plan ready against Obama: patriotism (e.g., Obama never served in the military); Wright; elitism; and Michelle.

The entire forum seemed rather subdued, but I only visited a few threads to check out the general atmosphere. On the Eight Belles thread, there was not one single ugly remark about Hillary choosing Eight Belles, the horse that died at the Derby. That surprised me.

Edited on Tue May-06-08 09:33 PM by TK421
This whole thing IS a game...between both the candidates! There has been plenty of shit slung around by both sides, and this will come down to Americans making a decision as to who is most fitting to lead this position..you don't think Americans want trust and respect? Standing and making pretty speeches like Obama has done has not convinced me...in fact, I consider him to be a demogogue.

21. You are so right
We have to focus on winning the GE and being realistic about who can get it done.

Clinton is the only one who can. And yes, the GOP dabbling in this and other forums is tiring, also predictable.

22. I'm actually physically exhausted during this whole process
I became involved in the Clinton Headquarters here in Bristol, PA ( I even bought their workers pizza and salad to the tune of $57.00 ) but it was worth it, to me...anyway. The girl who was working at the office was shocked at that, but I told her it was the least I could do since I really couldn't phone-bank because of my work schedule......it's all good!!!!

27. So nice of you!
I know, its very tiring, for everyone. And it certainly is worrisome that we could end up losing the GE, something I never would have dreamed possible a year ago.

But if Clinton gets the bum's rush from the Dem leadership, that's exactly what's going to happen.

I think I would get out of politics if it does and start looking after myself instead of being concerned about others.

29. Um, excuse me, but the sentiment I'm getting from this board is that those that don't vote for
Obama ARE going to vote for McSame, and then you damn well BETTER be worried about that voting block ( and it WILL be made a block come November ) you really shouldn't take this vote as lightly as you have in your previous post...they are out there.
