McCain denies Arianna's accusation; aide: "she's a flake and a poser and an attention-seeking diva"
Edited on Tue May-06-08 10:48 PM by candidatechopin
Most of you may remember that Arianna Huffington said yesterday during a book tour that McCain and his wife had told her in 2000 that they did not vote for Bush. She had no source other than herself.

Today John McCain denied the allegations.

Tucker Bounds, a spokesman for McCain, said "It's not true, and I ask you to please consider the source."

Asked why Huffington would make up her story about McCain not voting for Bush, longtime McCain aide Mark Salter -- who has previously tangled with the Huffington Post -- ripped into her. "Why would she make something up? Because she's a flake and a poser and an attention-seeking diva. And that's on the record."

2. McCain was caught in a lie. Arianna has wit, charm, success, a far
greater command of English than ANY Republican, and ditto that on intelligence.

4. McCain is in the Dem's sights, and he is doomed. He's an old man
who has a faulty memory.
