Nothing significant changed for Hillary tonight.

She was mathematically out of the race a long time ago. She didn't drop out. She dug in.

She is going to fight this all the way to Denver.

That's what I think. Dropping out just isn't in her nature.

3. The MONEY IS GONE. Whether she "drops out" officially or not is immaterial.

The race is over.

She also is out of money. She can do what she wants, but everyone else is going to leave her.

7. With no money and no donors?
Not a chance in hell. Maybe she stays in through May 20, but I doubt it. Who's giving to her campaign now? She lost NC by 220,000 votes, and may pull out a 5,000 vote victory in Indiana, maybe not.

It's over. She's done.

8. I'd agree...but why did she cancel all of her appearances tomorrow?
(assuming that's true)

Had I not heard that, I'd fully expect her to continue. However, canceling all media and campaign appearances seems to me a clear sign that she wants to make an announcement of her own.

22. I hope you're right.
But Bill didn't drop out even when the Monica scandal was at its most embarrassing, and because of that, I think Hillary won't, either. I think she'll hang in there until the convention. But I'd love to be wrong. :)

...but not now. I was right there with you figuring that she was going to stay in regardless of tonight's result - right up until she cancelled her appearances for tomorrow.

17. Not me - I expected her to make a fool of herself all along
bill clinton would never allow her to quit - would be a poor reflection on him.

I think she will lose interest in the senate since that was obviously a stepping stone.

I wouldn't be surprised to see her walk away from the senate in 2012 if not before.

She's become a joke - she could regain a bit of dignity with a graceful exit - but she will never do it.

The clinton "legacy" is going down the shitter folks.

20. She doesn't have the money or superdelegate support to fight to Denver.
Her own superdelegates will begin to pressure her to get out. Uncomitteds will be flooding to Obama.

23. This 'win' in IN is a *significant* change for her
She was supposed to blow him out and look what's happened. It doesn't inspire any new confidence in the Supers, I'm sure. Tonight DID change the face of this race. If she continues it will be even worse for her politically than it would have been.

25. My husband is saying the same thing.
That tomorrow is just a rest day or a day to consult her campaign attorneys.

I'll believe she's out when she says she's out. Of course, she's really BEEN out for a while, but you know what I mean.

26. She doesn't have to drop out
It might be better for her to stay in and take her wins in KY and WV. She has been running a good and positive campaign these last few days, and no harm in a gradual transition.
She may be able to turn on a dime herself, but it will be a hard thing for most of her supporters. A few days is no harm.
