Clinton Fights On in West Virginia: Don't GIve Up Yet Clinton Supporters!
She has a campaign event scheduled in West Virginia!

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/07/clinton.westvirginia/index.html">Clinton adds West Virginia to campaign stops

It't only 28 delegates but she could win the state 70 - 30 and gain back a large chunk of the delegates lost last night and cut back into Obama's popular vote lead. A 70-30 or 5-35 Clinton win in WV would be downright embarrassing for Obama at this stage and would keep his "triumphal" narrative on hold for another week.

I know it's a VERY long shot now fellow Clinton supporters. But as long as Hillary has fight in her, I'm with her.

30. Yep, she is personally in for what, nearly 12 mil?
She and Bill still have over 100 mil. How much is enough?

6. In my opinion, she should stay in until May 20th.
It would be better for Obama for her to run until after KY votes. She is going to win KY and WV, and probably would even if she were no longer running. It would be better for Obama to lose to someone campaigning than to someone who has suspended their campaign.

If she can afford it she should, and she should take on a unity tone. She and Obama can speak of Democratic Party Unity, and go after McDubya.

On May 20th, Obama will seal the majority of Pledged Delegates.

She can no longer catch him in Popular Vote or Pledged Delegate count, even in MI and FL were seated, as is.

7. YAWN!
Another week of her gas tax holiday pandering. She better brace herself for a superdelegate surge to Obama. It will be a huge psychological blow once he passes her in the superdelegate count.

13. What if she campaigns with a theme of unity, aimed at bringing the WV and KY Democrats
along to support the party and thereby bring Obama up in the polls there? Just an off the wall thought. That's pretty hopeful on my part, but maybe not with her debt. Anyway....

15. Why do this? To help McCain? To help herself in 2012? Makes her look bad
Sorry, she will look like an opportunist and may start losing lots of support. Not the right thing to do at all. And who cares about WV and Kentucky? Obviously there is a lot of racists there.

32. Please, it is over, OK?
It is time for us Dems to unite and go after McCain. He is the enemy...not Obama. We need to get on with winning the WH come next November. This is not the way to go about it.

Clinton getting the nomination? That is a lost cause and the time and money could better be spent, IMO, in going after McCain.

33. I'm a native West Virginian and I think she needs to seriously think about this
West Virginia is pretty used to being as symbolic primary by now. We don't have the size or money to really ever put make much of a numerical difference in a primary fight. But - demographically - we tell a pretty interesting story.

Obama getting obliterated in White, Protestant, Blue Collar West Virginia has the potential to be an ugly story at this point in the primary.

1.8 million residents.
96 percent white
Only 15 percent with a college degree

Yea...this is not exactly Obama's kind of crowd, is it?

Goodness knows what the story is going to be. The question is, does she really want that story told?

34. She needs to win every state 75-25 to have a chance at all.
That includes West Virginia -- she'll have to expand her lead.

Say goodnight, Gracie.

38. She just might win West Virginia, Kentucky and Puerto Rico by that margin
Obama is polling at like 27% in WV and 30% in KY and 37% in Puerto Rico. 70-30 blowouts are not out of the question.

37. Ugh.........
People don't come out to vote for losers.

I don't buy the argument that Hillary will win Kentucky when anyone with half a brain can see that she can't. Obama is our nominee and you can bet your ass many Obama supporters will hit that home if she decides to go to Kentucky.
