Team Clinton: "There are no rules", so there.
Does her "no rules" meme remind you of anyone? I can't believe I'm seeing this, but I'm not surprised, nor
am I worried about it anymore, because Obama is unstoppable now that he's weathered her worst kitchen-sink
slimes and nearly won Indiana despite Rush's 7% boost. It's over, thankfully.

Clinton Top Advisors Say The Fight Goes Past The Primaries

Anyone who thought Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) might reconsider her presidential bid after her big loss in North Carolina and narrow victory in Indiana on Tuesday are mistaken.

In fact, in a conference call with the national media on Wednesday morning, the campaign’s top strategist, Geoff Garin, and top spokesman, Howard Wolfson, said the fight would almost surely last past the final primaries and be taken up by the Democratic National Committee’s standing committees, starting with the Rules and Bylaws Committee on May 31.

“There really are no rules,” Garin said, when asked about the seating of delegates from Michigan and Florida – two states stripped of delegates for holding early primaries – and any scenario where the campaign is behind in the delegate count awarded in the primaries and caucuses, as well as the popular vote. “You make a conscious decision of what is in the interest of the country.”

“The DNC will engage in an adjudicary process to seat the delegates,” Wolfson said, referring to the DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee (RBC), and then the Credentials Committee, which under the DNC rules hears appeals of RBC decisions.

1. There is no rule stating when candidates have to stop their campaigns

what rule do you think the party has on that?

4. There are rules about whether to count MI and FL. Nada.
There are rules about the candidate with the most delegates (pledged + supers) actually WINS the nomination.

7. And the convention has not convened, the convention by rule will determine who it
seats as delegates, and not until delegates have voted, will anyone have won. Both superdelegates and pledged delegates can change their minds as often as they wish until it's time for them to vote.

12. I agree. Back-room wheeling & dealing & buggering the will of voters is all she's got left.

2. new email from HRC : shes not going anywhere
Dear XXXX,

Today, in every way that I know how, I am expressing my personal determination to keep forging forward in this campaign.

After our come-from-behind victory in Indiana, there are just 28 days of voting left. But we've never campaigned with the stakes as high or the time as short as they will be over the next four weeks.

And with you by my side, I'm going to keep fighting for what I believe in until every voter has had his or her say.

From the very beginning, you and I have counted on one another, working through every challenge and seizing every opportunity. That's not just the way our campaign works. That's the way America works.

As we enter the final four weeks of this contest, let's keep working our hearts out.

Contribute now to keep moving our campaign forward.

In six days, we have the chance to show our strength in West Virginia. If you'll stand with me, it's an opportunity I intend to make the most of.

There's no question about it -- we've got to make every one of these next 28 days count -- starting with today.

Contribute now, and let's keep winning together.

As we've told each other time and time again. There will be good days and not so good days in the course of this campaign. But there will never be a day that we can't count on one another.

As we enter the final 28 days of voting, I know you'll give it everything you've got. And you know I will do the same.

Thanks for being such a wonderful friend and ally,

5. Hillary Clinton's Last Life Line
If Hillary Clinton can win Kentucky and West Virginia by over 20 points and pull off an upset in Oregon then she can make a strong case. Without an upset in Oregon and possibly no re-vote from Michigan/Florida she can hang it up.

The polling as of today have Clinton winning West Virginia and Kentucky well over 20 points and losing Oregon by 10 points.

6. I live & vote in Oregon, and I'm smiling from ear to ear.
Oregon's Obama territory period. Hillary's "what if?" campaign is just looking more foolish
and self-serving each day this drags on.

When even Russert, McGovern, et. al. are all saying it's over, it's over.

8. You know I have an idea that I haven't heard bandied about yet
I think that Florida can seat their pledged delegates, as per the popular vote that was obtained. However, since the politicians in Florida (both the state legislators and congress critters) caused the mess either by voting with the Republicans or by standing by quietly, I think that Florida should not have any superdelegates that are recognized or seated.

Split Michigan equally and the same thing with their superdelegates. They made the mess, they pay the price.

11. That is a fairly good idea but how to you deal with the people who didn't vote?
mostly, one presumes, because they already knew that their votes wouldn't count. How many? there is no way of knowing.
