I'm sorry, she may be a fighter, but right now, she's fighting more for her own legacy than for anything else.

for any other Dem except HERSELF.

One started with the entire party behind her.
One started with only a few Congressional allies.

One started with the biggest entrenched machine in Democratic history.
One started with his Chicago apparatus and little else.

One started the race 30 points in front.
One started the race polling in the mid-teens.

One started the race a household name by virtue of marriage.
One started with name recognition on the wrong side of 40%.

One didn't bother putting an organization in for caucus states or post-Super-Tuesday states.
One planned for the long haul.

One claimed it would be all over by Super Tuesday.
One focused on fighting past Super Tuesday, and so won 14 contests in a row.

One of these candidates is Hillary Clinton.
The other one is a fighter.

I have to admit, I wonder where this indomitable Hillary was in the Senate sometimes. We sure could've used her in the run-up to war.

and will post it whenever a "she's a fighter!" poster chimes in with how hard Sen. Clinton is had it in this primary race. She blew a ton of campaign cash, credibility and name recognition on a campaign that was rudderless and lost at night without a map.

Let me try a different example: our current president. he thinks we should keep fighting. I don't admire him for that.

Who can forget welfare reform, NAFTA, telecom deregulation, tax cuts for the rich, the repeal of Glass-Stegall and SCHIP being sacrificed to a balanced budget? And who can forget her service as Senator? The way she single-handedly led filibusters against the IWR and John Roberts' nomination to SCOTUS until she collapsed just like Jimmy Stewart in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. Ah, of all the words of tongue or pen, the saddest are 'it might have been.'
