Why I think Obama *SHOULD* pay Hillary's debt with TWO EXCEPTIONS
First and foremost, Obama should agree to pay off Hillary's debt with two EXCEPTION and a rule - pay off all of her small vendors all the way back to Iowa - with an "set aside discussion NOT to agree to give Hillary credit for next time (2012)" - which will ruin any chance of her running in 2012 or sabotaging Obama during the GE run - this rule will be set in place for ALL vendors that Hillary has managed to stiff.

1) The loan of 5 million and 6.4 million are Hillary's and Hillary's alone to pay off. There is no need for Obama to support that debt when Hillary, alone, made that decision to loan herself more cash to try to beat Obama.

2) The Penn salary should be deemed invalid as debt - as this was Hillary decision NOT to fire this lard-butt. Demote, yes, but she's still paying outrageous salary to Penn, when Obama is paying Axelrod a very fair salary. If Hillary wants to pay him off, she should have done it with her 6.4M loan.

That aside, I have already donated $25 yesterday to Obama, and will do so again once Hillary finally concedes with the above said agreement.

Who's with me?

Get a refund.

2. Yep.
I'd really like to see the small vendors from the primary states and her rank and file staffers paid before any of her senior paid staff gets a cut, too.

25. The loser should throw their support to the winner for the good of the party.
If she can't do that, then she really is the sorest of losers. After all, they all want a democrat in the White House right?

26. If he pays her off, I'm done with him. I don't want my donations going to pay off Hillary....
...Besides, apparently Joe Andrew, the ex-DNC CHair who defected to the Obama campaign, knows where all the Clinton bodies are buried. Apparently he was even in on the Clintons' discussions with their lawyers.

Just tell Hillary to get the fuck out of the race or Andrew will start talking.

31. Well, perhaps because those vendors, big and small,
are people, too and deserve to be paid? I could see an argument for how this would present Obama to the communities where Clinton's campaign left a debt.

I don't think her own loans should be anyone's problem but her own. And her senior staff, same story. They bought in for Clinton; they should live and die with their candidate.

6. I wholeheartedly agree.
Lets give the small business owners, local vendors and public entities like the school and park districts their money.

Obama can afford to be generous. These people provided a service, they used their time, labor and incurred up-front costs. They deserve to be paid. We're democrats. We support the little guys and the entrepreneurs. Let's set aside blame and just do the right thing.

Hillary's personal loans and Penn's salary, however, should be her personal responsibility.

8. HRC is a millionaire - why should Obama pay off her debts? She ran a campaign that overspent - which
is pretty ironic considering Ms. Inevitable raised more money than anyone in the early months and repeatedly touted her deep pockets as proof of her worth as a candidate. She wantonly overspent her campaign into the poor house. Let HER pay her own debts. Obama and the DNC need to keep their money for the GE.

10. Sure,
just go back and ask all of those people who gave what they could to the Obama campaign in support of his candidacy and his message if it is ok with them for their donation to go to Clinton to pay off her expenses, of which not a cent was spared in attacking Obama. Under those circumstances, no problem.

33. SHE CAN'T BE TRUSTED, if money would be a motivator to keep her in line
Well when she realized how broke she was she should have started cleaning up her act then, but no what does she do. Get her buddy Barbara Reynolds to bring Crazy Wright to the Press Club.
no no no no no no no
She is too sneaky she could take the money smile in his face and stab him in the back. She has so many people connected to her that she can get to do dirt against Obama, and no one will believe she is behind it. I still think she is working on messing him up for the GE so she has a shot in 2012

Hate me love me I don't care, giving that woman money is not guarantee of Loyalty.
She hasn't even shown loyalty to the Party only her own interest

15. She can PAY FOR HER OWN MISTAKES. Really, shouldn't ACCOUNTABILITY count for SOMETHING?
I realize this has been a bribe used in the past but I gotta say, Obama might just be the one not to do it. He didn't give out any "street money" and I don't think he's going to like the idea of buying off Hillary, either.

Let her out-of-control spending be an cautionary reminder of the horror we would have faced if she had gotten the nomination.

All she's done is diss him and cause him to spend more money defending himself. In NO WAY do I want ANY part of MY DONATIONS going to pay off her debt! She made this bed. Now she can lie in it! She's very wealthy, last I read. Her $11.5 million loan won't really be noticed when you have over $100+ million in the bank.

Me? I think this is a monetary lesson she (and her husband) need to learn. No bail out from me. Sorry!

21. You are crazy if you think people will give Obama another dime
if he pays off Hills debts. Get real. I could have paid down my sons college loans but I donated to Obama to make the world a better place. You telling me that he is going to use my money to pay off the Clintons debt when they can't be bothered to report their whole income over the recent past. This is political suicide if Obama does this. The warm and fuzzy little people contributing to make this happen while he in turn bails out a poorly managed campaign is simply wrong. If he won fair and square he owes her nothing. Really the fact that this is even being discussed makes me ill. Where do I sign to get my money back?

22. absurdity
Obama does not owe Hillary anything and is not in a postition to have a need to bargain with her about anything. It's absurd for anyone to be making suggestions about how Obama spends his money. A better suggestion is to tell Hillary to use her own millions to pay off her own debt. Why would anyone think it's ok to suggest that somehow Obama's money is Hillary's money or that he has some obligation to take care of her? I don't get it.

Dodd and Richardson endorsed and campaigned for him.

Didn't Kucinich suggest nonviable groups in Iowa switch to Obama?

Biden and Edwards didn't endorse Clinton.

Yet, I can see this tradition performed between honorably, clean fighters. Hillary's campaign does not live up to that.

However, IF Obama feels to use his supporters funds to do this, Hawkeye's proposal answers every problem I have with it.

28. That may be the old way, but Obama's money came from real voters
We gave our money to him, not her, she has over 100 million that her and her husband made since leaving the White House. Obama and Michelle have only made about 4 million (maybe more maybe less)

Why should he have to pay for her RUNNING HER CAMPAIGN into the FINANCIAL GROUND.

She should have gotten out back when her bill was just at 1 million.

This sickens me, I know this politics, but I didn't give my money to Obama, to pay off the negative ads she ran against him. the 3am call BS, the Fear ads featuring Osama.

No no no no let that high fluent elitist racist wench pay her own bills

She can get the money if she crawls for it and kisses his ring and begs for mercy, sorry that's mean I was reading some post from real racist on another board and they fear a black president will enslave the whites LOL

Obama's money comes from small donors WHO SUPPORT HIM!

Clinton and her rich cronies can eat shit. Let them -- Terry and Penn and Carville, etc. -- dig into their deep pockets and pay off her debt. Or let Bill make some more speeches. Oh yeah, that's right, he's so tarnished his legacy he probably can't draw those big speaking fees any more. Too fucking bad.

Obama needs HIS money for the GE.

This is the biggest load of crap being peddled by the M$M and I cannot believe anyone is swallowing this swill. If I wanted my money going to HER, I'd have gone to SHILLARY. com
