Except it seems the Obama campaign isn't even going to try. Obama is even skipping out on an important state event on Friday

"Oh, and Obama’s camp says he won’t be in Kentucky this Friday due to scheduling conflicts. Though they say he could appear (thanks to Joe Arnold’s questioning) via video to address the crowd. Let’s just go ahead and say it: If Obama can’t show up in Kentucky at one of the most publicized events of the year, he doesn’t deserve to win in Kentucky. It’s embarrassing."

1. No fair--the WV primary is next Tuesday, KY's is the Tuesday after.

I doubt this would have been written if the circumstances were reversed.

WV should be Obama's first priority. He can make it up the following weekend.

2. Your post is confusing. Subject is WV, Body is KY
KY doesn't vote for 13more days. WV votes in 6 days. He needs to be campaigning in WV, KY will have to follow.

3. Well, Hillary told him only big states matter. Too bad he agreed with her. Right?

He has bigger fish to fry. He'll make token appearances in KY and WV, but he won't waste much time or money.

He's about to lock up the nomination and fight McSame.

The battle with HRC is over.

5. It's only a lost cause if there's no way for Obama to get more than 30% of the vote
Edited on Wed May-07-08 08:27 PM by rocknation
The only way Hillary can beat Obama now is to get 86% of the vote in ALL SIX of the remaining contests. So if Obama could manage even 30% of WV and KY, Hillary's "magic number" would be pushed even higher, which would allow him to clinch the pledged delegate lead even faster!

6. I think he rolls out more super delegates than either contest is worth
Making even 100% win in both these states utterly meaningless.

Watch for a super delegate bomb later this week or early next.

Kaboom.

Game over.

7. Obama can cut Hillary lead in half in KY if he...
....puts on a UK basketball cap and tells the audience that he believes the Wildcats will win another national championship during his first 4-year term. Then he can have a little shoot-around with the UK players and remind the media that KY has won more basketball games than any other team in America, including Indiana and NC, and he would gain the favor of many Kentuckians with that small tip of the hat. I know Obama knows his basketball and basketball is a religion in KY...:-)
