Why does Hillary give a fuck about West Virginia, Kentucky, Oregon, Montana, SD, Puerto Rico?
West Virginia went 56% Bush to 43% Kerry in 04
Kentucky 60% Bush to 40% Kerry
South Dakota 60% Bush to 39% Kerry
Montana 59% Bush to 39% Kerry
Puerto Rico doesnt even get to vote in the general election

According to Hillary, the red states dont count. We need a candidate who wins blue states.

My own state, Georgia wasnt this red in 2004 and Hillary said earlier that Georgia shouldnt count towards Obama because it went red in 2004.

Go away now, Queen Hillary. If you try to take this away from us and Obama in the convention you will reap the whirlwind that follows and although you would lose 2008, you would not even be allowed to run in 2012 as a Dem.

1. It only matters as a state if she can win it now. She's trying to call WV a CRUCIAL swing state--

2. she's gotta fight for a percentage of 28 delegates?
If she wins by 30%, she'll net 8 more delegates. How pitiful.

6. No, she'll use WV and KY to keep pushing the "white people" nonsense
She will win big there and hold them up and say "See!"

Mostly though its about keeping the whole thing going and praying Reverend Wright still has more to talk about.

they need to stop her now before she does more damage to the party. She is beyond delusional. The Supers need to come out and come out soon - before she says something or does something she'll and the Dem party will really regret.

Another 5 electoral votes we throw down the tubes due to Obama limited electability.

That ship has sailed. And what she is doing there now makes it even harder for him to win there in November.

How does she have a chance against a war hero, in an extremely conservative state, where 14% of the population are veterans?

29. West Virginia isn't an extremely conservative state.
It has a Democratic governor, two Democrat senators, a Democrat controlled State Senate and House. Over 50% of registered voters are Democrats.

A Democrat that is perceived as being more moderate can win the state. Like Bill Clinton. Or Hillary Clinton.

31. I didn't say WV wasn't strongly Democratic, I said it's extremely CONSERVATIVE.
WV politicians are not liberal in any sense of the word, nor are WV voters. The Democrats who win elections in this state are all conservatives.

McSame is an extremely conservative politician, more so than Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton, therefore, he will win WV in the GE.

Ideology in this case trumps any party loyalty.

9. My guess is that she's thinking about her legacy
This primary is going to be written about in a lot of history books and Hillary probably wants the final statistics to be as close as possible. Even if she can't win now, she can close up the delegate lead and close up the popular vote.

I'm not saying that's what she should be doing. It's just my guess as to why she's still going.

Those are not exactly my idea of Red States.

17. This really couldn't be a worse group of states if you want her to drop out
She is going to get wins, which means she can claim "momentum." She is going to win lots and lots of votes from white people - which will back up her claim that "Obama can't win the general."

This is going to suck.

20. Chill everyone! Hillary knows what she is doing and it is for the Dem
party as much as keeping a promise to her supporters. Had Al Gore won W.VA or even his home state, Bush would never have seen the light of day. As long as Hillary is in the campaign her supporters will have enough reason to turn out and that is nothing but good for the party. We need those states that so many of you Obama supporters sneer at. The more we have turn out now the more likely they will come out in November. Now if John Kerry, a war hero, smart, compassionate, white could not pull those states there has to be something more to get them. Obama won't be able to do it on his own...the woman's vote will be crucial and anything that is done now to piss them off will hurt the Dems in the end. It's Hillary that is trying to destroy the party or doing things for her so-called "legacy" (which puzzles me why anyone would say that). The people who will ultimately tear the Dems apart are the Obama supporters who are so obnoxious to those who do not now support him.

38. She doesn't care about THEM. She cares about HER results in them.
This is about her resume, her "transcript" for the primaries. She wants to go on and say she won West Virginia, Kentucky, Puerto Rico, and maybe one other.

Hey, if it's worth her pumping $200,000 a day into the campaign, from her and Bill's stash, fine.

But in the end, she's only doing it for her ego needs.
