Obama has "effusive praise" for Clinton on CNN, The Situation Room
That's how Blitzer characterized it, anyway.

A viewer wanted to know about a unity ticket.

Obama said it was too early to talk about that, with the primaries still continuing, but he felt that Clinton is an "extraordinary candidate" who'd be on "anyone's short list" of possible running mates.

1. Self-kick. Nearly 50 views, and no comments?
I was glad to hear Obama sounding so thoughtful and reasonable.

8. this is what a presumptive nominee does and what Hillary is doing is what
a defeated candidate who can't face the truth does.

12. Hillbots telling us to 'be more like your candidate' in 3 ... 2 ... 1
And, before you get your knickers in a twist, 'Hillbots' are the ones who say that kind of crap, and not all HRC supporters are like that ... but you know who you are, so if it doesn't apply, let it fly.

13. LOL! What are you guys going to do if he chooses her as his running mate?
I think he should, of course.

And I don't think he was merely being gracious. He looked more serious than that. Not the sort of glib response I'd've expected if it was mere graciousness.

I thought he looked like someone who's realized he may need her on the ticket to win. And he certainly wouldn't be the first presidential nominee who finally had to admit he needed his strongest primary opponent as an ally, to win the general election.

14. I've made it clear from the start
I will vote for the Democratic nominee for President. And I supposed I'll remind people that we survived Dan Quayle and Dick Cheney.

Any other questions?

15. Good. Glad to hear you'd still vote for the ticket if she were the VP.
A lot of Obama supporters here have said they wouldn't.
