David Bonior`
Heard on MSNBC that Bonior will back Obama.

Bonior was a candidate for governor of MI but Granholm won the nomination. He didn't get any help, I bet, from the DLC, because as Dem majority whip in the House during Clinton's term, he opposed NAFTA

We saw Bonior lately as Edwards' campaign manager (l of them anyway), so this might be an indication as to whom Edwards may back. He'd better hurry if he's going to be relevant.

Edwards belongs in the cabinet somewhere no matter who wins, HC or O.

2. The DLC doesn't "help candidates"
At least not in the way you believe they do. The DLC doesn't operate a PAC, doesn't organize fundraisers, doesn't place staffers with campaigns, etc. It's a think tank and networking organization. If Bonior has a complaint about support from the institutional party structure, it's with the DNC and DGA, not the DLC.

3. I have no idea of whether or not Bonior has a complaint.....

I am deducing what happened from the facts I know.....he didn't support NAFTA while the Clintons backed it. He was supposed to be their point man in the House, but he chose to vote the way he thought was right and best served his constituency. He was against the war. HC voted for it.

I haven't gone back to go over newspaper articles during the campaign for MI governor, but I'll bet that the Clintons didn't appear on any stage to support him.

Instead, we got this lady born in Canada who lived in California. Pretty lady, though.

The DLC is a think tank that thinks more Republican every year. I have the complaint, and do not speak for Bonior.

And I love Howard Dean. Do not speak unkindly of the DNC while he is head of it, not to me anyway........
