Slimy hit piece on Hillary in tomorrow's Washington Times
Make no mistake, this is the kind of crap we're going to have to deal with no matter who our nominee is. Obama is not immune. Hillary is not immune, no what her campaign likes to pretend.

And as disappointed as I am with Hillary and the negative way she's run her race, I *hate* seeing this kind of BS.

Once-secret memos question Clinton's honesty

By Jerry Seper
May 8, 2008

A decade before Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton admitted fudging the truth during the presidential campaign, federal prosecutors quietly assembled hundreds of pages of evidence suggesting she concealed information and misled a federal grand jury about her work for a failing Arkansas savings and loan at the heart of the Whitewater probe, according to once-secret documents that detail the internal debates over whether she should have faced criminal charges.

((more poison that I refuse to reprint))

It's probably too much to hope for, but I'd like to see solidarity on the part of all DU'ers on this. No matter how much we fight within the family, we don't let Repugs mess with our own.

2. Isn't it a bit late for this?
Seems like everything has been fair game in terms of attacking Obama up to this point.

Hey, they even accused him of flipping Hillary off, and that found itself in the news.

Jusy askin'?

And I can't tell you how much I HATE the Washington Times and their slimeball smarmy articles.

17. Maybe the VRWCjust realizes the Clintons are leaving the national scene and
doesn't want any of their phaser banks of political slime to go to waste.

KGardner has a great collection of this weeks Clinton political obits in a thread at http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x5888417 . The Moonies and other RW wackos must have seen some of that material and may have started a file dump in response.

Man, they just can't give up on those Arkansas years, can they? Some of 'em are still trying to close the deal that newty and ken starr and the rest of those delightful fucks - I mean folks!!! - couldn't manage when the impeachment trial in the Senate wound up going nowhere.

Found it. From David Shuster at MSNBC:

I heard it's one of the most unsuccessful newspapers of the last 20 years and they've never made a profit. It's only purpose is to fuel the right wing message.

Pathetic.

18. I made the mistake (years ago) of taking a trial subscription when
a nice young man came to my door selling subscriptions for scholarship money. That was before I knew what the paper was all about.

Since then, I can't get them to stop delivering the thing! I haven't paid them a cent since my trial subscription ended. I've called, I've e-mailed. I've let the stupid things pile up, but that doesn't work, plus having uncollected papers on the driveway makes it seem like no-one's home -- not too safe.

ARRGGHH.

PS: I love the Post, too!

36. I wouldn't worry too much about the affects of that, for a few reasons
1.)That thing is from years ago, an abandoned investigation is an abandoned investigation, and there's no sign of any illegal impropriety in ending it
2.)This probably gives them more circulation than they could ever get themselves LOL, but law of unintended consequences
3.)I think we'll unite regardless of what the opposition writes, as long as we share a sufficient amount of progressive values with one another.
4.)Be a little patient with the unity building, people take their own time, and it may just be a matter of waiting for that and hopefully it's soon, but right now it may be too soon, as long as their is still a race going on. It helps if it starts from the top of these campaigns especially, I'll leave it to you to decide which campaign is promoting that more than the other.

and the next day she should expect us to run to her rescue? Whatever, this report is probably true judging by what we've now learned about Hillary's character. She's a liability now, we should think about disowning her IMHO.
