Edwards: Obama can beat McCain
Fri, 09 May 2008 18:26:04

Former Democratic presidential candidate Senator John Edwards says Barack Obama is close to embracing victory in the nomination fight.

"I think (Hillary Clinton) has made a very strong case for her candidacy (but) the problem is the numbers," Edwards said on NBC television Friday, AFP reported.

"Let's just assume that Barack is the nominee because it's headed in that direction," he added.

However, the former White House hopeful did not go that far to endorse Obama.

"I haven't said that I might not come out at some point and say who I think it should be (but) the value of endorsements are greatly inflated," the senator said, adding that "Barack Obama's done pretty well without my endorsement."

1. What, is he waiting for the GE to give some consideration to endorsing McCain?
Jesus, what a useless man.

He hasn't endorsed anyone either.

3. Pretty much, at least in terms of this race. I am disappointed with both men.

4. That says it all
I'm actually glad that these two "big guns" haven't endorsed as much as I'd like it.
Endorsements always strike me as a bit heavy-handed if the endorsers are at the top of the party.
