I met an Obamacan this morning

I arrived at work in my three-week-old smart car today and when I got out of my car this 30-something guy came over and shook my hand. I automatically assumed he came over to ask about my smart car -- I'm used to people asking questions about it -- but he wanted to tell me he liked my Obama bumper sticker. I told him he's the second person who commented on my bumper sticker rather than my car (last week my daughter and I were driving and some guy next to us rolled his window down and asked where I got my sticker after we assumed he was making a comment about the car). He said he liked the car, too, but particularly liked the bumper sticker.

We talked as we walked into the building and I mentioned I had been a Gore girl, but knew early on that wasn't going to happen. Then he told me he was an Obamacan and had been a lifelong Republican! I welcomed him to the bright side and told him it looked from his age like he at least learned early in his life what a mistake that was. I said "These guys have ruined our country." He said he really had believed them when they said they would do certain things, but that they didn't do anything they said they would do.

Another former Republican for our side! Keep 'em coming. Obama is drawing them in.

It never showed up on the latest threads list or in "My DU" list. Very strange.

If Obama is the nominee, in my opinion. :-)

never voted for a Dem, until now (we're in NJ). I gave her an Obama 08 bumper sticker!
