An email about Clinton and McCain that I received from
my fundie relative. I'm dreading his "commentary" this election year:eyes: Even though things are tense in our party right now, something about this being sent by a rwing fundie doesn't sit well. I guess it bothers me that they are enjoying this "battle" between our candidates now. x( It's kind of like that old saying, "I can talk bad about my family, but you better damn well not!"

"The Difference

John McCain and Hillary Clinton were walking down the street and came to a homeless person. The Republican, John McCain, gave him his business card and told him to come to his office for a job. He then took $20 out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person. Hillary was impressed, so when they came to another homeless person, she stepped forward to help. She gave him directions to the welfare office, then reached into McCain's pocket and got out another $20. She kept $15 for administrative costs and gave the homeless person $5."

1. Unfortunately, John McCaineyBush would have kept on walking while telling him to get a job
He wouldn't give the man a nickel or even the shirt off his back.

Tell me: How has JM worked for homeless vets?.?.?

Has he tried to do anything about it with ALL his years in the Senate. I don't think so.

Just think for a moment how he treated his first wife. He started having an affair with his current wife. He left #1 after she had become disabled, while whoring around with #2.

That says a whole lot about his character and integrity right there.

Maybe you should email your family about that and see what kind of response you get.

2. This is an old "joke"

Substitute Bush with McCain Clinton with Gore, Kerry, Bill Clinton.

I think I first heard this in 1992.

All it says is they are going to repeat the same nonsense that they've been repeating for 16 years.

I have a love/hate relationship with this particular relative--my brother-in-law:eyes: He's is so far up George Bush's ass it's ridiculous. We always a very heated arguments about these issues. After this primary, I don't know if I have the energy ...

5. You can love him
so can I hate 'em for you?

If one of my friends or relatives sent me that email I would have had to send them a lengthy letter explaining that the state of the economy has zero to do with a welfare state... It has everything to do with an illegal war and unconscionable profits for mega corporations.

It's the tired, knuckle dragger, knee jerk response from the moran side of the family. Just reading this thread makes me want a drink and it's only 7:50 in the morning here.

6. That's How a Lot of Republicans See It
I live in a very red state, charities and non-profits are huge operations here.

Unlike McCain in the joke, though, the average Republican gives their money to a charity, which takes out its own for administrative costs — but not as much, because the people who administer it all have trust funds, or married someone who does, and the idea of a mere $35k salary is a joke to them, anyhow.
