For what little it is worth, Barbara Walters seems to think Obama will win the election

I'm watching Russert interview her on MSNBC. She was talking about how many people she's interviewed and how hard it is to keep them straight.

This is the story she told about Obama: She met him at a forum and told him he should be on the view. He said, "I've been on the view." She said, "Oh, I'm sorry I wasn't there." He said, "You were there."

Then, Barbara said to Russert, "Who knew he was going to be the next P... he's come on the show again since then."

5. Why the Babs hate?

She opened doors for women in the 70's. She went out and got interviews becasue no one would give them to her.

She's smart and seen a lot. She's also in her 70's, so we can cut her some slack for being on a daytime talk show. And if she brings a wider audience to Obama, how is that bad? She is trusted, and by having him on her show, she can take away the unknowns for some people.

I was recognizing that it was one person's opinion. It is the opinion of somebody who knows a lot of people and who has talked to many candidates, but it is one person's opinion.

I would have posted the exact same thread if I'd heard Russert or Tweety or Couric or any other news personality say the same thing.
