Clinton Supporters For McCain = RW Freeper Trolls
Edited on Sun May-11-08 12:33 PM by berni_mccoy
I am hearing that on "message boards on the Internets" there are a large number of Clinton supporters for McCain.

Let's be very clear. The only Clinton supporters that eventually vote for McCain are the small percentage on the Internet who have gone down with Clinton's ship and have said too many awful things about Obama that they can never go back or actual Freepers who are trying to portray this concept.

The vast majority of Clinton supporters for the primary aren't stupid. They realize that any Democrat is going to be infinitely better than McCain and that Obama is far better than just any Democrat. This would explain why many many Clinton supporters, including delegates, super delegates and primary voters, are now switching to support Obama.

Obama is the presumptive nominee, like it or not and the large majority of Democrats realize and accept this now. Even Terry McCauliffe admits that it's nearly impossible for Clinton to win at this point (short of some really big campaign disaster for Obama). And that's all Clinton's chances really are: astronomically remote.

So when I hear about Clinton supporters going for McCain, first, I laugh, second, I question if they are really Democrats and third, I remember that Obama has already shown he has no reservations about attacking a Republican that he did about attacking a fellow Dem. He's already come out hitting Mittens hard and has smacked McCain upside the head about McCain's lack of bearings. If you think you've seen Obama's best in the primary, just wait until the General Election. He's simply been holding back out of his respect for Clinton.

3. That's ironic, considering conservatives are, in fact, the weak among us.

4. That's true. Read John Dean's "Conservatives Without Conscience."

You have the 25% of the population who are "authoritarian," which essentially means they're so frickin' scared that they cling to domineering authority figures. And then you have a subset of that population, the ones with aggressive Type-A personalities, who try to temper their fears by accruing power, and they manipulate the others to gain it.

(Just my nutshell analysis, btw. Dean explains it so much better than I, and backs it up with research citations.)

10. He sounds familiar because Dean used his research...
for his book and then encouraged him to write his own for the general public.

6. And the only people I expect that from are freepers. Even the die hard Clinton
supporters here I believe will eventually come around in time.

14. You should take a read at Taylor Marsh and Hillayis44.
They all claim to be voting for McCain in October. IMO- those boards are filled with lower IQ people. They don't have the education or critical thinking skills to get past a campaigns talking points and only understand things that are positive towards their candidate and ignore anything else.

What a sad state of affairs.
