Edited on Tue May-13-08 11:53 AM by bigdarryl
He was on Big Ed show and he said basically the Clinton campaign wants to hold the Obama campaign hostage on that VP slot.Threatening them with there MILLION PEOPLE VOTE thats why they keep saying Obama can't win the big states.Giving them the hint put Hillary on the ticket and your problems will go away. I'm sick of these Clinton's threatening people.

1. She can forget about it.
God, every day she gets worse. It's unbelievable. I used to have to explain to people why I was opposed to Clinton in the 2006 Senate primary. They just didn't get it. Now they do.

...like a human bull dozer is going to get her on the ticket?

She doesn't know Obama.

3. I hope Jonathan is wrong about Strickland...
I really think Barack needs to go west of the Mississippi. Strickland would not guarantee Ohio. And Richardson, Clark, and Schweitzer all have better resumes...

10. How can you have a better resume than being a Governor
and Wesley Clark doesn't impress me he became a total joke in 04. He was a bad candidate and having a bad VP candidate won't help Obama

And both are much more colorful than Strickland...

35. Strickland was shaking when Clinton went on her shame on you tirade. Is he ill? Plus if something
happened to Obama, he'd become Pres and I'm sure he'd appoint his good buddy Hill as VP. So we'd be right back where we started from (corporate interests controlling Washington).

6. Do they ever stop thinking about themselves?
Edited on Tue May-13-08 12:10 PM by TwoSparkles
She's going to hold the entire Democratic party hostage, and thwart our nominee's
chances--unless she's given the vp slot?

First, she doesn't deserve it.

Let her throw her temper tantrum. She'll make a fool out of herself, and
destroy her credibility enough, that she'll have absolutely no credibility whatsoever.

Unbelievable.

First, she was entitled to the Presidency, now it's being circulated that she feels
she's also entitled to be the vice president.

I don't know how to react anymore. I'm all out of outrage, and my eye muscles are
tired from rolling my eyes.

The only person who behaves with the same level of brazen, myopic immaturity--is George Bush.

19. Hold me K Gardner!!!
I'm so tired of being spot on. Some days, I can ignore Hillary's disgusting nature.
Other days, I'm really frustrated.

I just heard one of the pundits on CNBC say that her campaign is saying now that they
will stay in until the end--because she's going to demonstrate that she can win more
popular vote--when all is said and done.

At least Mike Huckabee had some grace and dignity.

And to think I actually felt sorry for her after IN and NC. Now, all I want is a payoff
for all of this emotional grief. I want to see her concession speech--and I will not
feel guilty for popping some corn and feeling very satisfied when I finally see her
forced to make that speech.

24. I certainly FEEL your pain. This is too many days like a surreal nightmare and I
don't get how no one just calls BULLSHIT on it once and for all. It leaves me angry, disgusted with the Democratic Party and appalled that I can still get SO wrapped up in something I really have little control over. I swore I'd leave that behind in 2000 - and 2004 - but here I am again.

Like you, waiting for a concession speech so I feel like I can breathe again. I take heart knowing I'm not alone :-)

The good news is that each day--she has fewer arguments for staying in.

39. Not to mention
All the negative things she has put out on Obama that would be used against him in the GE! How could she be the VP when she has said publicly that her and McCain have the experience to be president, but all Obama has is a "speech"? The ads the republicans would put out using that would sink them if she were the VP

14. Yeah, right
Let the RNC repurpose months of Hillary explaining why Obama isn't worth shit in a handbag. They'll be so grateful they won't have to rip out their own kitchen sink to throw at him. And we'll get to enjoy the spectacle of Clinton tapdancing at light speed, she didn't really mean what she said. Yeah, that'll work. Go home, Hillary.

17. Her high negatives will be an issue at the top or bottom of the ticket.
I don't understand why people don't understand this.

If she's on the ticket in either spot she will breathe life into a demoralized GOP.

And I don't trust, nor like, bullies. I envision her undermining President Obama at every opportunity.

She's trashed her reputation during primary season.

30. Which CONFIRMS that it's a bad idea for Democrats
Since when has the MSM been pro-Democrat? They aren't starting now.

The Clintons are becoming a big, threatening drag on the Democratic party. The DNC or the Democratic Party leaders need to tell them to stuff their extortion. They're as thuggish as Republicans.

They need the likes of Pelosi and Kennedy to stand firm on their position that it's a bad idea. They know better than anyone else from the inside out.

Hopefully Hillary is burning up her political capital faster than she can cash in on it. Why don't they take their $109MM and do something philanthropic?

This desperate need to get back into or near the WH by hook or by crook on both their parts is disturbing.

33. Oh it will be offered and if she DOES NOT accept it, then I suspect
when 30 seconds have passed, obama folk will be in here posting that she is trying to give the election to mccain. DAMN! All I can say, name me another person obama could chose and bring with them millions of votes?

I know obama wants to be like al gore is own man. Gore did not use WJC in the election because AL was afraid the GOP would use the monica incident against him. The american people gave Gore the go ahead as WJC after the impeachment was from 69 to 72% favorable as doing his job as President. The american people separated the two, but Gore was so afraid and of course he wanted to be his own man.

Now obama will be faced if he gets the nomination with about the same issue. Of course obama wants to be his own man and set a course he wishes but he will need the help of HRC and to a lesser degree WJC, but he WILL NEED THEM BOTH......

If obama wants to win this damn thing then he better either have HRC on board as VP or give one hell of a speech and tell his supporters neither Clinton are racists and he better sell it.

Quotes: "Obama continues to have particular difficulty with white working-class voters." (damn, is that racist are what?) another one to digest."In the most recent WashPo-ABC poll, white Democrats with a college degree preferred Obama by 59 percent. But white Democrats without a college degree preferred Obama by 36 percent."

So, in the non-degree white majority, only 36% will vote for Obama? Does that make anyone else a little nervous?

If Obama loses, I'll get post after post saying, "Why didn't you warn us that the Democrats were going off a cliff?"
