Rosen: THAT Superdelegate Wasn't Important Anyway. No FLOOD of SDs to Obama Proves
Edited on Tue May-13-08 01:02 PM by K Gardner
That SDs are "taking another look at Hillary."

Are they serious? Rosen just trashed one of the four SDs that endorsed today and contended that no "flood" of SDs proved that they were hesitant to endorse Obama. How long will this continue? Do any of these surrogates really believe what they are saying or are they just reciting the talking points sent out by Camp Clinton?

Unbelievable.

Edited to add name of SD thrown under bus: Roy Romer, CO DNC Chair (former Gov)

7. Anybody/group/state that doesn't swoon for Hillary is not important. I see
Wonder how hard HRC campaign would be 'fighting for the voters' of MI & FL if the numbers for each were reversed.

20. It was drip, drip, drip up until about two weeks ago
Here's the weekly tracking history of the super delegates. Obama's gotten 48 since 4/27. If not a flood, it at least is looking like a babbling brook.

11. spin, spin!!
maybe they don't want to embarrass Hillary or take away from her great wins in WV and KY? They do understand that their are a few primaries left and those people want to vote.

12. It's not "unbelievable" at this point IMO
Edited on Tue May-13-08 01:16 PM by 4themind
For the goal of ultimate victory, what ever they feel is needed to say, they'll say. That's what they're paid to do, follow the campaigns talking orders. If they are told to go out there and say the truth they'll do that.If they are told "to spin like a top" they will. And if they won't,or disobey orders they'll either quit, be fired or there will be a retraction from the campaign. I don't even get worked up about it anymore, even if the MSM gives credence to it, because I realize that is what we're up against, we'll have to use new media to gain balance (and in many ways we've been successful so far)

13. There isn't a flood because the SDs are being respectful of Clinton.
They don't want to make it appear as if they are forcing her out. If her surrogates keep saying stupid things like this, why should they be respectful?

18. FORGET ABOUT seeing 50+/day SDs bc that will send wrong message to Clinton Supporters.
SDs dont want the Clinton supporters to feel they've been denied an opportunity to compete. A slow trickle is best and have Clinton make a graceful exit. Every one is happy, or as happy as they will get with her exit.

It all makes sense to me.

22. They are all individuals (duh!), they endorse on their own terms
It is not politically in the best interests of some to jump on the Obama train until after the process has played out. There is much more to this than who they want to win, for some. If you were facing re-election in a district that went 60-40 Hillary in the primary, you'd probably wait until June 4 or later and try to endorse quietly too, wouldn't you? Some just do not want to give the impression that they are trying to influence the outcome in the remaining states. Each INDIVIDUAL has their reason for coming out when they do. What a maroon Rosen is.

23. The Obama campaign is trickling out the endorsements slowly over time.
Superdelegate torture, a la water torture.

Water torture: so much more effective than a flood.
