My daughter drew a picture of Obama and this was the caption. She's 5, and she's biraschle (biracial) too. She loves him and is so proud that someone like her will be likely be our next president.

I do believe when Obama becomes president it will change life for so many biracial kids in America. They catch a lot of unearned hell from many subcultures, including the two their parents came from. A lot of whites (I am white) don't realize that in the black community there is hostility by some against biracial children, because those kids are partly of white or other lineage. Of course, the majority culture has that same problem.

I want to see kids able to live without getting slammed because they aren't white enough, or black enough, or pure enough of whatever lineage is prevalent in their community. It breaks my heart to think about kids being discriminated against because their parents are not of the same race.
