34. First you win the primary nomination,
then you go on to the general election. Usually the ones who don't win the nomination get behind the nominated candidate so that we can all unite against the opposing candidate in the general election. But this season there seems to be a problem.

Yes Clinton needs to drop out so we can get this show on the road and quit playing games. Obama has already moved on to campaign in states for the GE, while Hillary is still playing her games. I don't think the Iraq war is a game, and I don't think Hillary should be screwing things up when we have so much at stake. But I guess she doesn't care and would rather think of herself, and her run in any future she dreams up. And that's what her future in politics is going to be, Just a dream of hers.

30. Any argument about Hillary dropping out is an appeal to popularity.
This is because Obama is more popular, and that is the reason that Hillary should drop out.

36. You Should Read Mill
"If all mankind minus one were of one opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind."

-John Stuart Mill.

Also, survey data indicates most Democrats want her to stay in the race, ergo:

PRINCETON, NJ -- A new USA Today/Gallup poll shows that 55% of Democrats say both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama should continue campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination, while 35% say Clinton should drop out.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/107227/Majority-Democrats-Say-Keep-Campaigning.aspx

Respectfully, your logic is flawed and your grasp of data is tenuous... I am sure with effort you can do better...I have faith in you, big guy...

42. You Repeated The Same Fallacy
Respectfully I am beginning to question the value of your education...I am not a rich man but I am willing to supplement your education...I will contribute the first $50.00...You can start by taking an "Introduction To Logic" course...

Your argument rests on a logical fallacy-Argumentum ad populum, ergo:

An argumentum ad populum (Latin: "appeal to the people"), in logic, is a fallacious argument that concludes a proposition to be true because many or all people believe it; it alleges that "If many believe so, it is so." In ethics this argument is stated, "If many find it acceptable, it is acceptable."

This type of argument is known by several names<1>, including appeal to the masses, appeal to belief, appeal to the majority, appeal to the people, argument by consensus, authority of the many, and bandwagon fallacy, and in Latin by the names argumentum ad populum ("appeal to the people"), argumentum ad numerum ("appeal to the number"), and consensus gentium ("agreement of the clans"). It is also the basis of a number of social phenomena, including communal reinforcement and the bandwagon effect, and of the Chinese proverb "three men make a tiger".

Look, I don't care if she stays or goes...I just want to help you on your road to edification and enlightenment...

28. Well actually I just thought of something about sources, and it relates to the primary.
This was a reader survey and represents the popular vote. A lot of other lists are made by music critics, who are the superdelegates who think they can veto popular opinion. It is a lot like this primary.

Oasis is Obama and The Beatles are Hillary.

10. Now that is a ridiculous thought.
She has at least half of the pledged delegates in her pocket. She is going to take them all the way to the Convention.

The GOP will vet-out Obama thru-and thru by then....which he has not been as of yet.....Mccain can not wait until September to start so he and the GOP will do their dirty deeds.............

To make a long story short........Hillary will ultimately be our Democratic Candidate.

12. Despite the fact that I've called for her to drop out, I now believe she has the right to stay in.
As a former Clinton supporter, I believe Senator Clinton has every right to stay in.

When the math was fully against her, I said the same thing that she should drop out. I was wrong to do so, and I admit it. It's up to her and her staff to make that decision, not us as voters. If she wants to stay in, let her. As long as she isn't into the convention, I believe we're ok and will have party unity in the fall and will defeat McCain.

Obama is pretty much the nominee. So we have nothing to worry about.

22. The voice of reason!
I don't understand why so many Obama supporters think it's helping their cause to belittle, ridicule, bash and trash Hillary and her supporters!

Obama is going to need every vote come November, right? I mean, if you are so sure he'll be the nom, you shouldn't be so bothered by anything Hillary or her supporters do or say, right?

Obama said just what you said. I hope the rest of the Obama supporters jump your train! Sometimes they remind me of Bush supporters who still swear there were and are WMD even after Bush said, no, there aren't. And Saddam didn't blow up buildings on 9/11 either, but there's still a percentage of the population who believe this is so.

I hope Obama supporters listen to him more than Bush supporters listen to Bush!

Wish I could rec a post... better yet, I wish you'd start a thread. This is very good advice... nothing to worry about... time to move the F*#& on!
