What is the timing of Edwards Delegates being dispersed?
The Race to the White House is saying Obama could tie up the math before next Tuesday with Edwards delegates depending on if they all go to Obama. How does this work? Are the delegates named people who throw out their choices at their convenience?

2. Obama needs 27 more elected delegates for a majority
Edwards only has 19, so even if they all pledge for Obama it won't put him in the majority.

4. Well it could be a combination of Edwards delegates and other Supers
But I don't understand how the changing of their support (or the announcement of it) works

3. Back when Edwards dropped out, I remember reading that Edwards's delegates could choose whomever
they want, but that it's customary for the drop-out (Edwards) to request/instruct the delegates to endorse a particular candidate. At that point, those delegates usually consent to the (Edwards's) request.

5. But how do they come forward? Like Super Delegates?
Is each one of the Edwards Delegates an assigned person who can announce at any time like a Super Delegate?
