I do believe Edwards is the VP pick --
Listening to his endorsement speech right now makes me feel pretty sure of it.
I didn't think so before, but I do feel it now.

7. WTF? He's been there and done that.

Why would he want to do it again? He'd be a great pick for AG or the Supreme Court, though. More powerful in either of those 2 places too.

26. DOJ?
He'd be wicked on the Court, but I think the immediate need is in DOJ; it's so unbelievablys crewed up over there.

35. Agreed ...

I want him as AG.

I've become more and more ambivalent about who the Presidential contender is. I just want Edwards as AG.

He would be a great AG, don't you agree?

Why would he want it? Been there/done that.
Obama really needs a governor--somebody with real administrative experience in running a state, or somebody with some serious national security credentials.

36. Beg to differ
:wtf: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :wtf:

North Carolina 2004 election was a mess, third to CA & FL. A lot of work has been done to put through reforms since then.

I'm not saying 04 NC elections could have turned the state blue, but by all indicators it should have been much closer. A lot of people on the ground do think NC was heavily compromised.

16. Noooooooooo....
AG would be better. Put him to work bringing the criminals to justice. Under ordinary circumstances (Cheney excluded) VP is a ceremonial post. Edwards could be far more effective in a position that actually does something.

21. I hope not.
I'd love to see Edwards as president but VP doesn't suit him after 2004. He's grown in that time and he is more a leader now than a second fiddle. I'd like to see him as Attorney General, a position with a lot of autonomy, so he can really show his abilities.

22. there is absolutely; no way Obama would choose him.
A less than one term Senator does not pick a one term Senator, and failed vp nom from the past cycle. Obama knows he needs someone with a ton of experience. But I can see Edwards as Poverty Czar, AG or Solicitor General.

27. I think he needs a governor or somebody else
with administrative/executive experience to balance the ticket. It's so very unusual to have had so many legislative types in these primaries. A strong female governor would be ideal, and might assuage some of the angst of Hillary's feminist supporters.
