if ever there should be a day to remind us all that we are all of us democrats and who our true adversary is it is this one. a sitting presidents has dared to go to a foreign country and liken a presidential candidate, a possible successor to himself and thus the policy maker who may one day next year stand in the same space as he did at that moment, to nazi appeasers in the days trying to avoid a second world war.
i know its been a rough primary season. there are some who are new to the political process and find it discouraging with each turn of events. there are some who have been around a while and and can handle the ebb and flow of the news cycles and the fickleness and of a fellatios news media. but there is no way that any one, republican or democrat should stand for this utter bullshit. weather you are a hillary supporter and always haver been. weather you are an obama supporter and always have been. if this entire process has exposed you you new ideas, thoughts, interpretations and a new self awareness that has led from one candidate to the other before settling on a preference however begrudgingly or enthusiastically, remember this. WE ARE DEMOCRATS!
Its time for us to let the world know that we're not gonna be bullied, pushed around, labeled, libeled, slandered, demonized, or marginalized. NOT THIS TIME. not ever again.
this failure of a human being who calls himself an american president has dared call one of us a nazi sympathizer. this war monger. this war profiteer. this murderer of foreign citizens. this infestation of ignorance masquerading as good ol' boy charm that has allowed him to both destabilize an entire global region while allowing the rape and pillaging of his own nation at home. scandalous and fucking shameful if you ask me.
its time for us to put down the sword and knives some have had aimed at one another for some time now and remember who the real enemy is. it time to forget about the disappointment and bruised feelings. its time to let go of who felt insulted by who. the exaggerations, mischaracterizations, miscalculations and machinations need to be allowed to fade from memory. this is what we need to remember, george bush, his brand of republicanism and it's followers and anyone who would take his place and continue his policies, his wars and his failures, he is and they are who we are all fighting.
lets not let our loyalties to individual candidates cloud the fact that we are all democrats just as they are democrats, though in the heat of frustration that fact has been called into question, and it is time to end the sleeper hold this country has been under not for the past 8 years but for the passed 50 years. wars, domestic economic terrorism, religious interference in our political system, the eradication of the middle class. those are the things we have this moment in history to change. we as democrats!
this is not a post to encourage anyone to claim victory or for anyone to concede defeat. this post is a reminder to us all about what brought us all her in the first place. a shared dispare in the demise of the american dream that we had growing up, represented to me today, once again in this fucktarded president that commands less respect from me than the 17 year old guy working for me who joined his army because he can't afford college on his own. some of us were up in arms over the hillary comments over the mccain endorsement over obama. that pales in comparison to this grandchild of nazi profiteering both disparaging an American politician and injecting the domestic election campaign into the international conversation.
if there is political war to be had, we should be well reminded, this is the one we should be fighting. not each other.
forget who our preferred candidate is. there has to be a winner and there has to be someone who came just this close. but in November, when the choice comes down to republican vs. democrat, us vs. them should not be a fight we are willing to concede because we took out eye off the ball.
today should be a new and renewed call to arms to take back this country from this group of thugs, every house seat, every senate seat, every mayoral election, every city commissioner and yes, the presidency.
i've the fighting here go on long enough. either we're gonna fight to win or we're gonna be pissed and pout.
i intend to fight.
if you're with me k and r.
