Who will Cheney bring in to replace McCain? They need to have instant name or
brand affiliation, and be a blank slate politically. Remember they will know our candidates. Some possibilities:

CJ John Roberts
Melinda Gates
former CEO of HP Carly Fiorina
former CEO of eBay Meg Whitman

Add to the list.

1. Perhaps they will stop all pretext of being about people rather than corps and go with
Rex Tillerson, CEO of Exxon-Mobil?

Won't be John Roberts, they like and need him right where he is.

2. Carly Fiorina is on the short list, HARDCORE telcom and wire tapped in her corporate coup
Edited on Fri May-16-08 09:50 AM by Boz
She has decades of telcom, with his direct lobbyists.

When she was being put out of HP she was accused of, and tapes turned up from, illegal wiretaps against her internal enemies that she was directly linked to their installation and operation and it was said teh technology was just an outcropping of the illegal taps that were being used by the Bush administration.

3. they'll use those people only if they want to lose 48-50 states
Obama will be the first president to sweep all 50 states if he gets to face one of those.

6. Are you still on this absurd kick about McCain being a stalking horse?
Do you actually think Cheney has real power re replacing the nom? Sorry, completely wrong. Gates? Her husband may have instant name recognition. She does not. Proof that she's even a rethug? Roberts? um, no way does he have name recognition with even a small fraction of the electorate. Whitman? Bwahaahaha. If you think that's a household name or one attached to the repuke brand, just wow. Fiorini is a big McCain supporter and economic advisor and not remotely a household name. Are you suggesting she's a trojan horse? How droll.

And not one of them is a politician. Not one of them has any political experience. And yes, it takes honing political skills to effective run for the presidency. Not one of them has any political experience.

11. A lot of people know EBay. Virtually no one knows or cares who
the CEO is. Cheney is an outgoing VP in a historically unpopular administration. He is not looked upon with favor by foundering repubs in Congress. He wields no power over the nomination. I wish you had the ability to respond to facts.

15. When you strap tin foil tightly to your noggin, you will almost invariably
be wrong as could possibly be and your narrow anti-intellectual pov will not allow for rational thought. Sad.

14. if you're going for our dream scenerio, then those four
Obama or Clinton will sweep all 50 states against those. You want the nightmare scenerio, then lieberman as he'll be more successful than McCain at getting independents and conservative dems.
