Thank you Hillary Rodham Clinton
You would have been an excellent GE candidate but you would have lost against McCain...
So thank you, thank you so much for making Barack Obama tough enough to beat McCain in the general election.

Thank you.

8. I never supported Hillary... mostly I don't support bullshit
Like this OP... Why the need to be underhanded in the guise of being gracious is beyond me.

9. I've lost nothing
I never supported either candidate, until now. I'll support Obama because he is a Democrat.

5. Tell me about it.
I also don't think Obama needed toughening up. He is Chicago-style politics all the way, no matter what kind of package it comes in.

30. Yeah, he's really been letting Hillary have it this campaign, hasn't he?
:eyes:

He's been a gentleman in the face of repeated slander and smears from Clinton

7. Nothing passive aggresive about it
I genuinely believe that Obama will win the GE because of how Hillary have forced him to step up a notch...in a way that for example Edwards would not have been able to do.
She has "coached" him into becoming a better candidate.

10. bull
passive aggressive
One entry found.

passive-aggressive

Main Entry: passive–aggressive
Function: adjective
Date: 1946
: being, marked by, or displaying behavior characterized by the expression of negative feelings, resentment, and aggression in an unassertive passive way (as through procrastination and stubbornness)
— passive–aggressive noun

You pretended to be gracious whilst thrusting a dagger... that is so very uncool, and so very unbecoming of a supporter of our next president.

13. You have me all wrong.
Would Obama have been a formidable opponent against McCain in the GE if Hillary hadn't been in the race? Oh yes.
Would he have been a great and a winning opponent? I actually doubt that...it is likely that he would have been somewhat shell shocked as soon as the repub attack machine fired its first round. (much like kerry was against bush) Thus giving McCain a slight advantage.
But now...Hillary is a fighter. And as she is on the good side she has given Obama time to learn what it is like to play in the political "super bowl".
Obama will win against McCain...and it isnt all because of Hillary but she has forced him to become a fighter. To not just have the better argument but also play hard ball when it is needed.

14. At the risk of repeating myself... bull
Your OP is the epitome of passive aggressive... you complement whilst in the same breath telling her she could never have won against McCain... the worst insult you could have voiced.

Obama would never be so crass, and I highly doubt he would appreciate someone being that crass on his behalf. That's like bombing an abortion clinic in the name of God.

Is this how you support the next president of the United States?

I'd be ashamed of myself. Obama doesn't need this kind of gutter bullshit.

And I would think, and this IS opinion, that Obama would want us to conduct ourselves with the same grace and good manners he employs. He sets a very good example. Unfortunately, SOME of his supporters just don't get it.

We've got jobs for him here in Oregon!

Sadly, he does not meet the standard of the breed, at least not in color (too much white).

Please be assured that I do not assess the dog's political fortunes in that way, however. :sarcasm:
