PAT BUCHANAN! WTF!???
Edited on Sat May-17-08 10:56 AM by PCIntern
Why the F do I have to experience every significant moment of my political life watching MSNBC, b/c CNN is completely unwatchable, listening to this anti-semitic, racially bigoted POS? they take Teddy to the hospital and I have to listen to this hyper-devoted RWer pontificate on the Kennedy family now? He's just so 'objective', right? Makes me sick.

Couldn't help but bring Chappaquiddick in, could he, that fat fuck.

Pisses me off no end.

Edited to ad the word 'racially'...sorry. So angry that I missed the important modifier!

1. What channel are you watching?
He was pretty gracious and sounded like he was about to cry.

2. Molly Ivins always regarded Pat as a cartoon monster, or maybe a
monstrous cartoon -- but somewhere in that range.

I think Molly had it right.

9. We've had people defend him on this board
and they are still here, saying "i don't really care for him but he makes good points in this case"
or 'He's a racist but what he said was a valid argument"

THE USUAL SUSPECTS. Notice they are absent also on concern for Kennedy's health.

Morning my friend, I hope Ted will be OK.

13. Hey there, and good morning.
I'll join your wishes for Ted's being ok. We can't spare the front-line liberals. They've gone to bat for us many, many times.

21. To be fair, he is occasionally right on some things.
I think it is akin to the 'monkeys typing Shakespeare' phenomenon.

5. Bite the bullet and pay for BBC AMERICA. Or turn on the radio.
Unless you're handcuffed to the barcolounger, out of reach of the remote, you HAVE choices.

Make them.

I am well aware of my choices MADem...for example, I chose not to ignore you after our last exchange the other day.

I can watch MSNBC and comment to my heart's content. At least this time you can't criticize me for blasting a female, now, can you?

19. I'm watching New England Cable News. They have a reporter at MGH.
The quality of reportage is better and more up-to-date.

You CAN watch MSNBC and comment to your heart's content. Certainly. But there IS a remedy for your complaint, and it involves the remote.

I won't even bother with the "female blasting" comment. The fact that you brought it up, well, we'll just let it lie.

If you want to choose to ignore me, go ahead. It's not like you're offering me some sort of grace and favor by doing otherwise. If people don't want to talk to me, my feelings really aren't hurt. "LALALALALA I can't HEEAR you!" isn't a way to expand one's knowledge base or facilitate the exchange of differing ideas.

But that's completely up to you.

10. Pat's been around Washington a while.
I'm sure he knows a thing or two about the Kennedy mystique in DC. I don't mind listening to him talk about Teddy.
