Key highlights

1. I hope she packs it in before "taking it to the convention"
I think people will be much warmer to her if she concedes without a big to do.

8. Certainly not ordering anything here I just don't think it will bode well for her
To be honest I think she's been great over the last couple of weeks and I would like to see her go out on a hight not is all.

22. "she has been great over the last couple of weeks..."
Which pretty much proves my point-until she started acting like she is wrong for continuing on when YOU think she should not, you were unhappy that she stood in the way of your candidate.

YOU want her to stop campaigning for YOUR candidate...which is especially ironic since that is the only way YOUR candidate can be the winner currently. He does not have the magic 2,026 that he needs to win the contest without her dropping out. You and I both know this. And before you go whining about math, he simply does not have the number. Looks like he will at some point but at this time, no, he does not.

35. She's been OK, not great. At least she cut out the mud-slinging BS.
She continues to be disingenuous About MI/FL, and why SD's should move to her. It will end soon.

15. I thought The Same Thing...
And look at the Obama Camp. They turn down free TV time Oregon. They are campaigning in the Dakotas. And they are setting up for "one heck of a night" in Iowa.

Both camps must have a pretty good idea of what Oregon is going to look like Tuesday night.

6. I hear they can't fill up 2 press buses.
Edited on Sat May-17-08 11:36 AM by dkf
They order 2, but the second has been empty.

Found it...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/05/13/AR2008051302862_pf.html

Quote: Exhibit A: There are two press buses waiting at the hotel here for Clinton's trip to her victory rally in West Virginia, but the entire press contingent doesn't quite fill one. It isn't until the entourage arrives at Dulles Airport that Clinton aides learn that the second bus is still idling, empty, at the hotel.

34. Wow, silly me..I never thought
of it that way. She's burning bridges that's for sure but to stay in to drag him down with the thought that.."you really need me now..you can't get certain voters that I've turned against you without me" is not something that entered my mind until your post catalyzed it.

Tough hilary Shit..we're gonna do it without the bitter dead ender.

17. Wouldn't she be saving money by quiting?
She has to have tapped almost all of the individual donors at this point-now she's still paying her staff, the travel expenenses...I would assume that there would be more gained by having events to retire her debt than by continuing on as a candidate.

Especially given the tone of the blog-conference call. She may have realized that the more she attacks, the faster the superdelegates come in for obama (just look at last friday after her "hard working americans" comment(when 9 dems came out for obama), vs. yesterday (1)). It's in her best interest to play it cool, then after May 31st, and expectant victories in Puerto Rico I think there will be a real ratcheting up, which either be a final flickering flame, or it'll be used to scorch the earth of the road all the way to the convention (risking the G.E. chances for dems in not just the WH but senate/congress as well perhaps) We'll see

19. "shriveled and deflated"
Much like her campaign.

(from OP article)

On the day Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton was endorsed by the governor of North Carolina, a supporter gave her a three-foot-long balloon replica of herself, complete with blond hair, black pantsuit and wide pink smile, which Mrs. Clinton promptly took on her plane and laughingly showed off to reporters.

On Thursday, little more than two weeks later, the doll lay on the sofa by her seat on the plane, shriveled and deflated.

26. What a fantasy she's perpetrated..her and the fookin' m$$$fm..
"(David Letterman recently joked that with her campaign $21 million in debt, she is at “the world’s most expensive fantasy camp.”) And the new tone is palpable."

They're saying it's always been difficult for hilary to compete against Obama? Are they sayin' Obama blowing his nose is better than hilary's lies? 'Cause that's what it looks like.

"It has always been difficult for Mrs. Clinton to compete against an opponent who once received thunderous applause for blowing his nose. But as Mr. Obama seized nearly every headline in the last several days, Mrs. Clinton appeared zapped of her usual enthusiasm."

I could feel sorry if hilary ran a straight campaign instead of the filth she went for.

36. She should have quit the night or day after WV.
Not only does she frame her position in this race on what she may have (big states, popular votes, MI, FL, caucuses, WV white voters)and everything else but on what really counts... the rules.

But she also is framing her campaign around her support in this race.
“When you have just the big events with the rallies and all the rah-rah and all the speeches and the lights and everything,” she said, “it doesn't mean as much to many people as to be included and actually hear the stories and the concerns that everybody has.”
