We've seen them all-the ones who are spewing ridiculous talking points fed to them by Taylor's gang via the CC...using every and any imaginable combination of states to try and STILL claim that they are and will win...it ain't worth it. Every pundit and paper knows this is already a race between Obama and McCain-let them sink-let the propaganda sink

an arguement with my brother and his wife, who are still going on about how Hillary is ahead in the popular votes, she wins the big states, she has more experience, and all the other lies. I try to be understanding, because I realize most people don't have the time to follow all this as obssesively as I do, and I realize that, from their POV (straight) the 90s were nifty. But my god, how obtuse can people be? My sister-in-law said the good-old-boys network took it away from her because she is a woman. How can anyone who has been paying any attention at all imagine such a thing?

I really try to keep caring about the people of this country, but when even the good, intelligent people are this politically and socially moronic, it is hard not to wish the whole fucking place would just drop into the sea.

to imagine what they are thinking. I think their posiiton is emotion based, and nothing I say will penetrate. The truth is, they don't follow politics all that closely, like most people. So when a presidential election year roles around, they start to pay attention, but they don't have the in-depth understanding to see the truth. They are perfect examples of why it has been so easy for the Republicans to manipulate the public.

They will vote for Obama, but they are afraid that his "lack of experience" will cause his administration to end-up like Carters. When I point out that they voted for Reagan, and he had no national experiene whatsoever, they have no answer to that.

The elephant in the room is race, of course. I don't even want to entertain the idea that they might be racially bigotted, but...none of their other arguements make any sense.
