Obama to return to Des Moines Tuesday - claim nomination?
<http://www.desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080517/NEWS/80517007>

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is scheduled to return to Iowa Tuesday, the Illinois senator's campaign said Saturday. Obama plans to mark the evening of the Kentucky and Oregon primaries with a rally in Des Moines, in the state where he notched his first nominating contest victory in Iowa's leadoff caucuses on Jan. 3.

Obama campaign aides had said they expected to reach a majority of the national convention delegates selected by voters as of Tuesday's contests.

The campaign described Iowa as "a critical general election state" in the press release announcing the Tuesday rally, set for E. 6th St., and Grand Avenue, near the Iowa State Capitol and where Obama's caucus headquarters were located.

I am very excited to see that Sen. Obama is returning to where he scored his first big victory. What a great night it will be if he stakes claim to the nomination in Des Moines.

1. If so, the speech almost writes itself...at least the overall theme...

2. Seems likely. Can't wait until Tuesday!
Is this the beginning of the end of GD-Primaries?

3. Oh, how I wish I could attend.
This gesture brought tears to my eyes. How wonderful he will return to where it all began. What a night that will be. I hope it dominates the newscasts.

4. I sure the hell hope not.
And I don't expect him to do anything that would further alienate Hillary's supporters. He can wait another couple of weeks to claim victory.
