1. Guess this means the GOP will not point out how arrogant the "nothing good in America" lady is

8. Nice code speak.
You're only a step or two away from "uppity".

C'mon, you can do it.

15. The word "arrogant" means "arrogant."
You, of all people, impress others as being extremely familiar with the word.

11. They can try, but it looks like Obama's going to make it very hard
for the Party of Family Values to run a campaign on bashing a man's wife.

13. Could you provide a link to that quote please?
I was unaware she said there was "nothing good in America", but since you used quotations marks, I'm thinking I just must have missed her statement. Thanks.

28. Cindy McCain is very vulnerable. They assume that Obama and his....
campaign staff won't sink to their level and go after Cindy, but they would be wrong to assume that some of Obama's supporters won't discuss her problems.

30. Michelle Obama is a real liability ...
Edited on Mon May-19-08 11:45 AM by avenger64
... she's got a big mouth, and she's been making some controversial remarks. The GOP is not going to 'lay off', and Obama knows it - they're going to push her as some kind of symbol, and I think you probably know what I'm driving at. It's going to be an ugly, between-the-lines situation. The best thing Obama could do here is get her to be quiet.

2. good luck with that one!
I hope the Obamas have considered that she will be the subject of intense hatred and vilification and demonization. It seems to go with the position.

I know I feel better that he is addressing head on any attempts to swiftboat, in any way. I think that is what has to happen with these attacks.

25. I don't care if they lose BIG ...
just so they lose!

I think it's Obama's victory, to sieze it or to blow it. Republicans don't have all that much support, even among republicans. They have proven they are not even a conservative party, they have no sense of fiscal responsibility, they are borrow-and-spend warmongerers, thieves and wackos.

But the Repubs will attach Michelle, that's guaranteed. Maybe McCain will appear to lay off, but the attacks will come.

It's good to have a candidate for once who isn't going into the thing with eyes wide shut.

It's what he did with Bush's Knesset comment, and what he's doing now.

Obama switched over into father mode instantly. Said what any father out there would say. A lot of people with kids will connect to that. For a moment there he was not Obama the candidate, but Obama the concerned father.

Probably the best family moment I've seen from them overall. As real as can be.

Actually they were both fantastic. It's possibly the most "normal" I've seen them. The dog stuff was hilarious.

Great work!!!
