It's almost as if Clinton is telling her supporters not to vote Democrat
Obama has stated many times Clinton should not be pressured to drop out

yet she continues to say things like this.....

http://www.reuters.com/article/latestCrisis/idUSN19543996

"I'm going to make my case and I'm going to make it until we have a nominee, but we're not going to have one today and we're not going to have one tomorrow and we're not going to have one the next day," said Clinton, a former first lady.

The Clinton campaign sent a memo to reporters saying any Obama effort to declare himself the nominee on Tuesday would be "a slap in the face" to Clinton supporters.

4. I'm reading it, but I still don't see it.
How does primary trash talk become "do not vote Democratic?"

Enlighten me.

27. You're the one seeing what isn't there
Try from Hillary's own mouth next time:

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/14/clinton/index.html?eref=rss_topstories

"Anybody who has ever voted for me or voted for Barack has much more in common in terms of what we want to see happen in our country and in the world with the other than they do with John McCain," Clinton said on CNN's "The Situation Room."

"I'm going to work my heart out for whoever our nominee is. Obviously, I'm still hoping to be that nominee, but I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that anyone who supported me ... understands what a grave error it would be not to vote for Sen. Obama."

I'm tired of the out and out brazen LYING from both sides.

5. Her organs should be harvested and then she should be burned at the stake
and then her ashened remains should be sprinkled over the Clinton Library. Maybe cult members could come up with an appropriate ceremony. If per chance Obama gets the nomination what are you whiners going to whine about until November?

6. And the "slap in the face to Clinton supporters" line --
that's just a fucking threat. She KNOWS how many of her supporters have threatened to vote for McCain if Obama is the nominee. She doesn't seem to care about slapping Obama supporters in the face. :grr:

8. Off topic but can we PLEASE say "DEMOCRATIC"???
Don't let the repukes define our party. THEY started that "don't vote Democrat" bullshit because they didn't like the name of the party having another meaning that they'd like us all to forget about.

Thank you; return to your regularly scheduled posting.

12. 'Voting Democrat' is perfectly good grammar.
As is, 'voting for the Democratic Party'.

What is incorrect is 'voting for the Democrat party'.

We are, after all, Democrats, not Democratics.

It is a very subtle grammatical difference.

14. She's rallying her base, that part's for sure.
And she's chosen to save face by "going down fighting."

I'm not a big fan of foolish pride, but if this is how she wants to bow out, we can only hope there's no harm done in the process.

24. She's saying no such thing.
And for what it's worth, it's clear from today's news that Obama also realizes that declaring himself the nominee on Tuesday would be a slap in the face to Clinton supporters.

It's a shame so many of his supporters here can't see that.

It's clear that some Clinton supporters have become so alienated that they won't vote for Obama, but I saw a lot of Obama supporters here announcing just a couple of weeks ago that they wouldn't vote for the nominee if Clinton won the nomiation (or even if she was on the ticket as VP).

I'm not that unhappy with Obama myself, but after seeing what some Obamites have been posting about Clinton and her supporters, I'm not at all surprised that some of her supporters feel that way. And if Obama wants their support for the GE, he's going to have to treat them with much more respect than many of his supporters have treated them.

I still think he needs Clinton on the ticket. That would go a long way toward healing the divisions in the party.

33. She was campaigning. Obama called her "Bush-Cheney lite."
She brought up McCain's years of experience vis-a-vis Obama's because you can bet it WILL be brought up in the GE.

I've read a number of articles mentioning that even among people who wanted Obama to run for president, some had advised him that 2008 was too soon, and that he needed more experience, more years in the Senate.
