One of the many reasons I want Hillary Clinton to be our nominee
for President or Vice President is:
It's against DU rules to attack our nominees.
My goodness, DU be a such a much more pleasant place with her on the ticket!

37. The article says they'll both be in S. FL, NOT that they'll be sharing a stage.
Here's the quote from the original article your link points to:

"Hillary Clinton's campaign staff confirmed Monday that she will hold at least one public event in the region Wednesday.

The announcement means Clinton will be stumping here the day before Democratic Party frontrunner Barack Obama's scheduled visit to Broward and Palm Beach counties."

Doesn't sound like they'll be sharing a stage to me.

19. What does it matter that she has half the votes? Thats like saying Huckabee is assured the GOP VP
because he came in second. Its just not the way this works.

She ruins his "change" message, she and her husband are STILL attacking him, they are also now attacking the party as a whole, and she really brings nothing to to table as VP. Its just not going to happen, in a sane world.

people fight against each other in the primary, and become best friends for the sake of unity and the sake of winning.

She brings all her supporters to the table, whether you or I like it or not. You can dismiss it, after all I don't work for the campaign, but I happen to believe it will be how it plays out.

I see the reality of what happened much differently than someone who believes she "voted in support of a chance of War so she could run for pResident" does.
Senator Clinton, like John Kerry and John Edwards, voted for a conditional resolution that constrained the President's options for pushing ahead militarily. Bush violated the conditions of the resolution. Also, like Kerry and Edwards, she has said she wouldn't have voted for the AUF if she knew then what she knows now.
Read what Joe Wilson had to say:
SADDAM WAS A SERIAL VIOLATOR OF HUMAN RIGHTS, had started two wars in the region in the previous decade, continued to threaten his neighbors, including Israel, which he once said he would destroy with weapons of mass destruction. We may not have fully understood how little remained of his WMD arsenal, but were we really willing in the aftermath of 9/11 to give him a free pass, as Obama’s rewriting of history suggests he might have done?

The approach of tough diplomacy backed by the threat of military action was the correct one and it yielded exactly the desired results, a unanimously passed U.N. resolution and the capitulation of Saddam when he readmitted the inspectors.

The betrayal occurred not when the president was given the tools he needed to secure international support for inspections, but rather when Bush refused to allow the inspectors to complete their work and decided preemptively to invade, conquer and occupy Iraq.

That decision and power was his alone — not the Congress’ and certainly not Hillary Clinton’s. Obama is wrong to turn Bush’s war into Clinton’s responsibility. And Obama is dangerously na•ve in failing to understand the need in international crises to blend tough diplomacy with the other foreign policy tools at our disposal to achieve a strong national security posture.

30. Before the Iraqis had their first election it was difficult to be anywhere else, but you chose to
compare Kerry and Clinton, and you seemed to have forgotten that Kerry voted for IWR and promised to speak against war if weapon inspections proved force was not needed. He DID what he promised, and no other IWR supporters followed suit or gave him back up, even when he was the nominee - they stuck by Bush - and this was especially egregious of the Clintons who were the nbest known Dems at the time, and who the other Dem lawmakers relied on for advice since Bill had access to privileged information they did not - and he was DOWN WITH BushInc's lies.

Clintons sided with Bush - and Bill repeatedly defended Bush publicly even against the criticisms of the Dem nominee.

38. Why do you Hillbots continue to quote CIA thugs as "legitimate sources"
The CIA is synonymous with the Bush Crime Family. They have been connected from day one. Even Harry Truman correctly identified the CIA as a "tool of Wall Street bankers", and they have never ceased to be exactly that. They do not, and never have, operated in the best interests of the American people.

Edited on Tue May-20-08 11:11 AM by calipendence
And in effect put a similar resolution in place that gives the idiot chief in charge the permission he feels he needs to bomb/invade Iran before the end of this year! Just like Kerry, Clinton, and many others parse what they really meant and authorized in the war vote they made, those who voted for Kyl/Lieberman will have to explain themselves in the same way in the future, and it will be the SECOND time they've done so, knowing what Bush did the first time, so in this case SHAME ON THEM!!!!

46. Whether it was *the same* or not is not the issue! ANY bill that has SOME of what Bush wants...
WILL be used by this demonstrated liar and manipulator to do what he wants! THAT is what should have been learned from the first vote.

So matter how much you couch such a vote in all of those little "details" that those supporting it will offer the excuse "I didn't really vote for us to go to war" to try and have it both ways, ultimately Bush will use such a bill again to give him congressional "blessing" to attack Iran!

The problem is that the public didn't parse the details last time to say to Bush that Congress didn't give him the approval he needed to go into Iraq. They interpreted it at the time as a blessing for Bush's actions then. The same will happen this time around, unless you simply just DON'T give in and give Bush ANY bill that blesses action in Iran, unless of course we get attacked, or see CONCRETE evidence of us being attacked from their actions.

41. Rules
Isn't it against the rules to side with the opposition during a primary? Bill pandered on Limbaughs show for his wife and Hillary said the McCain would be better than Obama. Hillary set Obama up at the last debate with one of the sponsers having on the board Bush and both Clintons. There is more of Hillary being more a republican than democrat but I think I've made my point.
