congratulations to our likely nominee, Barack Obama.

I hope that Teddy Kennedy lives long enough, at the very, very least, to see Obama take the oath of office in January.

2. I don't think we've had something comparable since 68

and the system was different then. The boys in the backroom still had more influence than voters.

But that's also what makes it hard to determine whether the hard feelings will heal quickly enough for a unified party in November. I have to have faith in my fellow Democrats that it will, but it doesn't look encouraging from here at the moment.
