My GOD...if I never hear this phrase again it will be too soon.

Thank you for letting me vent...back to your scheduled programing.

1. You are dead right
I was one of those voters in 2004. Now I am solidly professional and middle class and I have a degree. I worked hard to get to that point, and I don't appreciate the bobbleheads on TV dismissing the importance of my vote.

6. The punditry is so myopic on race/class issues....
Edited on Tue May-20-08 10:35 PM by Kaylee
they believe everything can be explained with those 4 words. They ignore the fact that white, working class voters are not homogeneous across the country. Completely skip over the fact that every candidate has a group they just might not be able to sway for whatever reason. And continue to marginalize other voting groups as not as important; because according to the talking heads we are not patriotic Americans who love our country like white, working class voters. It's all BS.

3. I've always been white. I'm currently working class. I've voted since 2000.
But because I live and work in a big city, and I'm college educated and young, I guess I don't count.

5. I don't count either. I'm black AND college educated.
It's as if being college educated is a bad thing in this country.

7. When George W. Bush is President...
I think you have your proof of how utterly stupid the average American is. As George Carlin would say, walk around sometime with a pad and pencil. You'll come home with at least 30 or 40 names.
