Winning here won't come easy to Obama

If anyone doubts that Barack Obama is shifting his attention from Hillary Rodham Clinton to John McCain and the general election, just consider where he'll be the next three days: Florida, Florida, Florida. Obama must overcome real challenges to win Florida's 27 electoral votes, and his tentative schedule seems to acknowledge that, as he's reaching out to key demographics. Here are four of Obama's hurdles, and what he's doing to address them:

Hispanic voters
Jewish voters
Uncounted votes
North Florida

2. he's a very flawed candidate who even now in the
midst of a contentious primary on our side, is being beaten in national polls by both dems. He has yet to be focused on by the dem nominee.

3. How about older voters?
It's time to reevaluate his statements on Social Security. It's time for Obama supporters (now, all of us) to stop ostracizing older voters.

Older voters will be key to this election.

4. That was mentioned in a Times editorial today...
Obama has mentioned raising the retirement age. That is an issue here.
