Why Hillary can't quit until all the primaries are over
I know one theory is that she is now running for veep. But I believe, more likely, she has convinced her supporters that the nomination is rightfully hers and that she is being cheated out of it.

If she quits before all the primaries are over they will have to accept it and perhaps move on to support Obama.

If she goes through every single primary and refuses to quit formally they can stick with her to the bitter end and refuse to vote for Obama in the general election, paving the way for Obama's defeat and Hillary's nomination in 2012.

I've thought that since Super Tuesday when the math turned really bad, almost impossible, for her.

2. I just think she
honestly is convinced she CAN win the nom -- that her calculations and machinations prove it to her.

And at this point she shouldn't concede before the primaries are over. This is such a contested race and those in the remaining states should have their say, like the majority of us have.

9. Why? She will lose the last 3 primaries.
It makes no sense whatsoever for her surrogates to go on tv stirring up racial tensions in this country like Ferraro did yesterday.

If Hillary doesn't drop out soon, we'll have no choice but to call the police and have her committed for a mental evaluation.

3. There's only two weeks left. Since NC/IN she's been OK.
Keep up in that model and I don't care if she stays in.

6. Explain this "everyone should have their say?"
What if your say doesn't matter?

What if your say cannot turn the tide, or change the decision? Why this value on just opening your big, fat mouth and spewing whatever comes out?

When one person says a truth, no one else needs to say it again. It's been said. When all options have been laid out, no one needs to reiterate them.

Once the positions are defined, you don't need to talk anymore, unless you have something NEW to say. You just fall into whichever line you see fit and THAT is how you "speak," with your action of declaring allegiance to a person, or idea, or plan.

It's done. Obama wins...so all these Hillary supporters can hoot and holler and cheer but it's pointless. It's over. She lost.

The "say" of the remaining voters doesn't change that...so they aren't losing a damned thing if she drops right now. The result will be precisely the same in any case.

Of course, this sort of logic doesn't work for Hillary...she's going crazy at this point if she honestly thinks she's still even in the running...

7. Bill didn't let every state vote when he ran..
He claimed the nomination before all the primaries were finished. She wants to be treated the same she needs to act the same.

13. Just on MSNBC: Garin, Chief HRC Strategist: She Stays in AFTER June 3rd
States she has won the Popular Vote
Stated she has won MORE PLEDGED DELEGATES -- WTF??

States she WILL continue after June 3rd, until "one of them reaches the magic number". (who knows what the magic number is?)

Andrea Mitchell did not contradict him on any of this. How are they now claiming more PLEDGED delegates??

This is not going to end well.

15. I think
she has let her financial backers down. She promised them she would be the nominee, and that's all she had to do to meet their requirements of her. It is all about stacking the deck in their favor so that it doesn't matter whether Hillary or McCain wins the presidency.

I actually think she is in a vice, and really has no choice but to press on in an attempt to derail Obama's presidential run. Those folks expect a return on their investment, and come hell or high water, they're going to get it.
