1. Oh come on.
Sure she's dragging it out, but Obama still wins, and he'll still win in November. Let's not give the repukes what they want, eh?

2. Thats not what history says
And you can bet that the Clintons are banking on history repeating itself so she can try again in 4 years.

9. If this is taken to the convention
One thing I'm relativley certain of is that they won't be going for a 2012 run. Not on a Dem ticket at least. They'll be seen by the party as the biggest. spoilers. ever.

18. After 4 years of McCain
I wouldn't vote for Hillary for dog catcher, much less give her another opportunity to muck up another election. fergitaboutit,

3. Nobody can win if Hillary insists on following Obama around all summer
being the anti-Democrat. The eight weeks from convention to November is not enough time, with McCain getting a free pass all summer. Nope, if this goes to the convention, McCain will win.

4. I would have agreed with you a week ago
Today it's becoming apparent that she's crazy enough to at least attempt to destroy the party.

Hillary is no longer a Democrat.

6. If it goes to the convention, McCain wins,
It's that simple.

EVERY TIME a nomination process went to the convention over the past 40 years, the party doing so LOST.

Making matters worse, this year's convention is far later than any prior convneiton, making it even more difficult to unite the part afterwards.

Hillary Clinton has become a REPUBLICAN by all accounts now that she's taking it to the convention.

If she can't have it, no Democrat can.

All HRC's pals in the Pharma, insurance, Wal-mart corps must be real happy. They'd be happy with her as prez, far mor happy with McCain.

10. John McCain should be measuring his drapes if Obama wins the nomination.
Hillary taking to the convention only slows down the inevitable. If she wins the nomination at the convention, then McCain will have a fight on his hands.

22. No he hasn't
You guys really don't understand how this works, do you?

When he has the majority of all delegates, then he will have clinched the nomination. Making up little milestones along the way and calling them the finish line is just silly.

23. Little milestones like "It's impossible for Hillary to overtake Obama's deligate lead"
AKA a clinched nomination.

The math is not optional.

Edited on Wed May-21-08 05:02 PM by Perry Logan
The phrase contains not the slightest hint of my harming you, and as I vaguely recall, it was in response to something equally dumb that you said to me. It was my idea of verbal payback.

But I upset you in a way I never intended, and I sincerely apologize for that. I would never intentionally threaten you or anyone at DU.

20. For clarification:
And also just in case you have forgotten:

The only reason he is measuring drapes has nothing to do with any Dems at all!

IT'S BECAUSE HE KNOWS "The Math" wizards are going to steal it--AGAIN!!!!!! FOR HIM!

Wouldn't that explain his extremely relaxed way of campaigning? He's got it in the bag!

IT pains me to say this, it really does!
