Chris Matthews asks real questions of Wasserman-Schulz and some campaigning data:
Edited on Wed May-21-08 08:03 PM by FLDem5
"Do the Clinton people really want a deal that ends this, or do they want to keep this an open sore that keeps the campaign process open until the convention"

Great question.

And Pam (love her!) doesn't let Debbie interrupt her. And then he doesn't give her the easy out when he drills her on the fact that they didn't campaign. She tries to get away with saying "a lot of people voted, people have the internet" but the fact remains that when candidates actually campaign in a state, the numbers move... often a lot!

Here's the video!

Enjoy it. I hope Mayor Iorio goes far.

Also, a short note on campaigning:

I volunteered for Obama at the Tampa rally today. We sold out of every promotional item we had… t-shirts, hats, water bottles, all but two styles of buttons and bumper stickers. The crowd was huge and enthusiastic. My pictures are crappy or I'd post them.

Debbie Wasserman-Shultz say that campaigning in a state in the age of television and computers doesn’t make a difference.

Please.

Missouri – from Clinton +13 to Obama +1 (they must not have newspapers there)

Connecticut – from Clinton +8 to Obama +3 (I’ll be they don’t even read their mail)

Virginia – from Obama +15 to Obama +28 (are Sunday talk shows allowed there?)

California – from Clinton +30 to Clinton +9 (and I hear they know about television there.)

Texas – from Clinton +24 to Clinton +4 (do they get the Google there?)

Ohio - from Clinton +26 to Clinton +8 (this is getting ridiculous)

Pennsylvania – from Clinton +22 to Clinton +9 (what is wrong with all these people. Don’t they know they aren’t supposed to let campaigning move these numbers.)

Darn them all.

(all numbers from RCP past polling data)

1. This is a MUST SEE video ! Please pay attention to the part where she says Hillary's PLEDGE was not
to the DNC, so no rule was broken, she only promised "the first four states". I don't understand what they're doing now.

2. Chris Matthews wants
an open sore that keeps the campaign process open until the convention... and elects McCain.

3. Wasserman-Schulz is an asshole..
I used to like her, but she overdosed on the Billary flavored Kool-Aid.

She has destroyed her credibility by her obsession with the coronation of the Queen.

4. what made me angry at her, at first, was her refusing to help elect Dems
in districts in Florida where her Republican (and Republican voting) friends were.

11. I don't understand
their argument.

What about all the people who stayed home and did not vote because they were told it would not count?

Why doesn't anyone ask that question?

If I lived in Fl and stayed home, buddy, I would be really pissed off if some governing body now changed the rules.

If someone tells you your vote will not count and you vote anyway, well that's your problem.

If they tell you it won't count and you don't vote, then they change the rules, well I think that's where the lawsuits live.

12. and as a Floridian, I have to tell you,
yes there was record turnout, but there was a HUGE property tax amendment on the ballot. Pushed and argued about for months.

All of our papers headlines and local news covered the RNC and DNC decisions non-stop. It was also discussed. You would have to be living underground to not know about it just being a "straw poll" of sorts. People showed up for the Amendment and chose a candidate without the intense scrutiny they might have given them if they knew it would count.

Its really sad.

But there are some who chose to stay home, or only vote for the Amendment and not a candidate.
