The thought of Lanny Davis, McCullif and HRC sucking up to FOX Cable News and KKKarl Rove? ... well it's just beyond the pale. :wow: :(

Recommending this thread, because the video should rightfully piss off every free-thinking Democrat in this country. I do remember December 12, 2000, and PNAC does own the DLC and every member on it.

78. Look up Will Marshall, DLC, PPI, et al.
Will Marshall:
http://rightweb.irc-online.org/profile/1295.html

The DLC:
http://rightweb.irc-online.org/profile/1463.html

PPI:
http://rightweb.irc-online.org/profile/1463.html

Then go to the DLC website and read Hillary Clinton's speeches regarding the above.

The rabbit hole is deep.

81. WTF is happening to our party? It infuriates me.
Re: PPI ...

Although the conference, which was attended by four likely Democratic presidential contenders-Clinton, Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack, Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana, and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson-as well as some 400 elected leaders from the local and state levels, covered everything from college tuition to healthcare, the Iraq War "was scarcely mentioned" (Los Angeles Times, July 25, 2006).

Re: DLC ...

The DLC's "leadership team" includes Vilsack, chairman; Delaware Sen. Tom Carper, vice-chairman; Senator Clinton, chair of the DLC's American Dream Initiative; Al From, chief executive officer; and Bruce Reed, president. From and Reed, together with Will Marshall of the Progressive Policy Institute, are the main architects of the DLC's center-right political agendas, which are laid out in more detail in the reports of the PPI and in articles in Blueprint and New Dem Dispatch.

The DLC comprises three main clusters of New Democrats. The largest is a group of nearly 400 national, state, and local legislators and officials. This contingent includes a wide range of centrist and conservative Democrats, including Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards, former Florida Sen. Bob Graham, and Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman. (Perhaps the DLC's political thrust is more precisely defined by a list of prominent Democrats who have not lent their names to the DLC, including such figures as Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy, former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, and Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich.)

Aside from the DLC's leadership team, the major forces of the New Democrat movement are 45 House members and 20 senators who compose the New Democrat coalitions in Congress. According to the DLC, "Together, they are among the most influential forces in the United States Congress." In the House, the coalition's leaders are California Rep. Ellen Tauscher, Wisconsin Rep. Ron Kind, Washington Rep. Adam Smith, and Alabama Rep. Artur Davis.

The Senate New Democrat Coalition (SNDC) was formed in 2000 by Bayh, Graham, Lieberman, Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu, and Arkansas Sen. Blanche Lincoln in order "to provide a unified voice in the U.S. Senate for progressive ideas, mainstream values, and innovative, market-based policy solutions," according to the DLC. Other members of the SNDC-which the DLC calls "the strongest and most unified Democratic group in the Senate"-include Delaware Sen. Tom Carper, Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson, Florida Sen. Bill Nelson, and Michigan Sen. Debbie Stabenow.

83. Will Marshall is a member of PNAC
I started a thread in GD-P a couple of months ago on this topic. The Hillary supporters went nuts attacking me. It would be entirely amusing if I wasn't born, raised, and living in New Orleans.

We already know what the future will be like for the rest of you if the neocons wrest complete control of our society.

The DLC was designed to infiltrate the Democratic Party from within and transform it into the other branch of PNAC.

Hillary Clinton is one of the DLC team leaders.

When Bill Clinton and GH Bush came to New Orleans after the storm, together, I knew we were really fucked.

2 years later, folks are still living under the I-10 overpass while public housing is being demolished.

89. No money for New Orleans, yet plenty of it for war, energy and oil
What we've basically had is 20 years of PNAC reign, then.

Up to this point, I was open to the thought of a Clinton VP slot, based solely on what merits she might have had for the ticket (strong-arming herself into the VP slot isn't meritable). Now I won't have anything to do with it. Edwards? Kerry? Richardson? Hell, even GORE? All DLC?

I feel angry, bitter, yet better informed.

I've always told my son to pick his friends wisely. You can tell a lot about a person by the people they 'hang' with.

Can you imagine what it would be like if Hillary got into office? OMFG!

Either Fox will turn on her to to the delight of the Clinton-hater fans. Increasing ratings, and building up their sponsor budget.

- OR -

Hillary and Fox will 'marry', like the current WH. I can imagine a Hillary WH would want to get even with those she perceives as giving her poor coverage.

At first Lanny's saying Clinton voters are FOX news watchers? That they favor FOX over the other two 'liberal' cable news networks? Then we have the Terry giving props to Karl Rove on, where else, FOX news which he also gives props to for being fair and balanced.

This is just wrong on so many levels. :wtf:

A Hillary Clinton supporter, you have attacked and demeaned Obama supporters, but from this truth, you cannot run away.

Edited on Thu May-22-08 04:01 PM by berni_mccoy
As one of the comments so eloquently puts it on that YouTube video:

"Jesse Jackson, Jr. made an argument regarding class and the position of the Catrina sufferers in general. we all know that all the sufferers are Black people. there are plenty of Whites who were stranded and left without any help from the gov't. i don't see anything wrong with his points"

Oh, and it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with this post, which is about HRC's campaign GOING TO FOX FOR VALIDATION and lauding them for it.

Bill Clinton served as the 42nd President of the United States of America. Before becoming president he served 5 terms as the governor of Arkansas. Clinton was a

member of the Democratic Party and was a very popular president, with advances in the areas of education, jobs, and the environment domestically while encouraging

peace talks internationally with the Northern Island and Palestinian conflicts.
Both his grandfather and grandmother (Edith Grisham Cassidy) were against the unfair segregation laws and the rampant racism that was an accepted part of life at

the time. Bill Clinton saw the respect that his grandparents gave to African Americans as a normal way to treat all people, even though it was a very unusual way of

thinking. Clinton was one of the few white boys of his small town that would play with black children. These early experiences must have played a part in his later

thinking, where he was called the first black American president (because of his empathy towards all people, regardless of skin color).

Photographs: Clinton Visits People With AIDS in Africa
Since he left office, Bill Clinton has made a lasting mark in a cause that he came to only late in his presidency.

This is just little something for some of those idiots out there who think Bill Clinton’s sex scandal was more important then any other of his achievements. It’s really

funny what you get when you compare Clinton’s list with the list (mostly failures) of our president today. Seriously people. Grow up!!!

Clinton presided over the longest period of peace-time economic expansion in American history, which included a balanced budget and a reported federal surplus.
Clinton left office with a 65% approval rating, the highest end-of-presidency rating of any President that came into office after World War II.
In August 1993, Clinton signed the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993, which passed Congress without a single Republican vote. It cut taxes for 15 million

low-income families, made tax cuts available to 90% of small businesses,<37> and raised taxes on the wealthiest 1.2% of taxpayers<38>. Additionally, it mandated that

the budget be balanced over a number of years, through the implementation of spending restraints.
In 1994, Clinton sent U.S. forces to Haiti as part of the negotiated restoration of Jean-Bertrand Aristide’s presidency. He also withdrew U.S. forces from Somalia

(1994), where while helping to avert famine they had suffered casualties in a futile effort to capture a Somali warlord. Clinton promoted peace negotiations in the Middle

East, which bore fruit in important agreements, and in the former Yugoslavia, which led to a peace agreement in late 1995. He also restored U.S. diplomatic relations

with Vietnam in 1995.
Clinton succeeded in brokering peace negotiations in Northern Ireland between warring Catholics and Protestants
In 1997, Clinton and the Republicans agreed on a deal that combined tax cuts and reductions in spending to produce the first balanced federal budget in three

decades.
During the eight years of the presidency, the economy expanded by 50% in real terms, and by the end of his tenure the US had a gross national product of $10,000bn

- one quarter of the entire world economic output.
The booming US economy has brought economic benefits right across the income spectrum.
The unemployment rate has dropped by half, to 4%, a 40-year-low, while the economy has created some 15 million jobs.
In December 1999, Clinton was among 18 included in Gallup’s List of Widely Admired People of the 20th century, from a poll conducted of the American people.

From August 1986 to August 1987, Governor Clinton served as chairman of the National Governors' Association. During that time, he led the governors' efforts to reform

the welfare system and the educational systems of the states.

By the fall of 1991, Governor Clinton believed that the country needed someone with a new vision and plan, and he decided to run for President. He also felt that he had

the experience and the best ideas for changing our country for the better. He wanted to strengthen the health care system, to improve the school system, and, most of

all, to bolster the economy and create new jobs. He brought his message to the country by going door to door, holding one-on-one talks with people in town hall

meetings, and appearing on various talk shows.

After a long primary process, Governor Clinton was nominated as the Democratic presidential candidate. He chose Senator Al Gore, of Tennessee to be his vice-

presidential running mate. Together, Bill Clinton and Al Gore set out by bus to meet the people of America and to hear about their concerns and their hopes for the

future. They campaigned on the concept of "putting people first'---preserving the American Dream, restoring the hopes of the middle class, and reclaiming the future for

the nation's children.

Throughout his life, President Clinton has worked to make a difference in the lives of others. To him, Hope means more than a small town in Arkansas; it means

working to ensure that each American has the opportunity to fulfill his or her dream.

Barack Obama:

* State State Senate (8 years)

* US Senator - Illinois (18 months before announcing his run for POTUS).

I'll continue to be fair. When you're clawing for your life, you get whatever leverage you can. She's still playing fair to send her people out to suck up to Fox is not without its logic. But you don't have to lie for them; you don't have to ingratiate yourself to them. If Clinton ever does become president, they sure have given Fox a whole fat file full of sound bites to shut up people trying to defend President Clinton #44 (or #45!) from Fox-based smears.
