What happened to the media's supposed love for Obama?
Watch primary coverage on any major news network and count how many times they say a phrase somewhere along the lines of "Obama's failure to win white working class voters" over and over and over and over and over again. They generally won't mention how he's doing well among working class voters in general or the fact that this failure has been mostly in Appalachia where over a quarter of Clinton voters are willing to admit to a complete stranger that race was a factor in their vote. They just keep hammering this phrase in over and over as if the people watching it didn't catch it the first 100 times.

And it's going to get much, much worse.

3. Those 'Bubba' voters - many of them, will vote McSame in the GE anyway
They are not even Democrats - so Hillary's "advantage' there is nothing but Republicans diddling the system in the primaries. It's not an Obama problem. Anyone notice how WHITE and working-class OREGON is?

Huh.

8. Are you serious? The media is still in love with Obama.

Joe Klein recently ripped McCain on Iran.
Obama's flip flop on meeting with the Iran leader has been ignored by everyone. First he said he would meet with Iran's leaders without pre-conditions in his first year, now he's talking about "lower-level preparations" before he does so.

Chris Matthews has been acting like his advisor; Richard Cohen loves him; Drudge never says anything negative about him.

Today media critic Bob Somerby (Daily Howler) is happy that the media is tired of the GOP and on Obama's side:

To liberals and Dems, we’ll only say this: This is the way the world starts to looks like when the press corps begins to hack away on your side. They’ve hacked against you for many years. But now, they’re sick of the GOP War Machine, and no, they don’t hate Bracak Obama (good!), as they’ve long hated All Things Clinton/Gore (bad!). To

http://dailyhowler.com/dh052108.shtml

and by the way, if the media hated him, he wouldn't lead McCain by 10% as we speak.

9. I have to give Nora O'Donnell credit.
Edited on Thu May-22-08 12:30 AM by CitizenLeft
She brought out the stats that showed that white KY & WV Democrats went for Bush in 2000 and 2004 in high enough numbers to negate that "Obama can't get white voters" theory completely. DEMOCRATS can't win these voters, period. Those voters vote Republican, end of story, at least since 1996. She said it last night, and she said it again tonight on Hardball. Good for her.

They're also mentioning what a hard time JFK had with Kentucky, and admitting that KY will no way go Dem in November anyway, so what's all the hysterics about?

10. but Obama has touted hnis ability to attract "Obamacans"
The winning Moveon.org ad was about a Republican who claims to have switched to Obama.

Why are those predominantly white voters from those states not switching?

12. Dude - page 3 of the Trolling Manual *clearly* directs you to *agree* with people for 3 days!
In any case, the location of white folks who have a problem with Obama is perfectly clear and well-known:

13. I saw that...and Obama winning South Dakota and Montana will
prove that even more. That Obama's problem is regional and with a group that will likely vote rethug anyway.
