Jim Webb: How tough can it be to endorse one of the candidates?
Virginia went strongly to Obama. So, does he have a GOOD reason to be on the fence?

1. Maybe if he endorses Hillary then he can be the Hillary supporter that people insist Obama needs to
have as VP.

2. Well, Massachusetts went for Clinton, and we know that the legislators don't always follow their
constituents.

3. He just barely got elected and he's new.
Since he's one of the more conservative Democrats, there are probably some Hillary fans he doesn't want to piss off, maybe even the Clintons themselves.

9. whoa, flashback.
Remember when Bill and Hillary did that really awkward Sopranos finale "spoof"? With Journey's "Don't Stop Believing"? That song came into my head when I read your post, and made me think of it. God, I forgot all about that. Talk about prophetic.

7. What's the point? We're in the endgame, 13 days left.
He could endorse now or wait until the first week of June.

Either way, it's going to happen. I feel strongly that the superdelegates at this point are being more than generous to Clinton, allowing her plenty of time to wrap this thing up gracefully.

10. I think he'll wait until June 3rd
He just wants to be respectful and neutral. He did say on Countdown tonight that he thinks Obama will be the nominee.
