The Clintons no longer give a shit about the Democratic party unless they hold the power
It's official. The Clinton family has decided that it's them or bust. Either they have the power or no one will. End of story. They will take down the party in their quest to remain at the top of the party food chain, and if they cannot remain on top they will take everyone down with them.

It's very sad to see what can happen to those you once admired.

All or nothing. Very selfish and very sad.

It's over. Why the hell can't they, for the good of the party, for the good of humanity, just step back?

It's not their time.

1. They've had their time.
And now, it's time to move on.

I'm ready for the page to be turned, or, in the words of my favorite President, for "the torch to be passed to a new generation."

5. It reminds me of what Michael Moore said about RW talk radio pundits...
I saw him here in Portland before the 04 election, and he got to talking about the RW pundits. He said they sounded, to him, like dying dinosaurs. Sadly, the Clinton campaign keeps bringing up that metaphor to me. So out of touch with today, and dying so noisily. They are in real terms still so young, but they are so out of touch with today.

8. I know.
This country needs to move on, to move away from the divisiveness, to move away from, and on from, those who would continue to divide us. And away from those who would seek to keep us down (and out).

2. They never did giive a shit about the Democratic party
The whole purpose of the DLC has been to undermine the Democratic party and replace it with a clone of the Republican party.

You have to be pretty stupid to think they are doing this for the party's benefit.

7. The Clintons never cared.
They've always acted solely in their own self-interests. That's what kept me a Republican during Bill's administration: I despised them then and despised them now. Any other Democrat could have won my loyalties; I've always been a liberal Republican. Not Bill.

10. I think they used to care...
Bill's first term really was something to behold. I believed in him. He was the first person I voted for who won. It really was a time of hope and excitement. It was a generational change. The problem is that it's time for them to step into the next generation. They need to step back with dignity and grace, but I see now that they don't know how. It's all about power for them.

I used to really believe that they had the country's best interest at heart.

Rise and shine and greet the new day. The 90s are over, and a new generation has taken the reigns. I know it seems crazy and scary, but you might just like what you see if you wipe the sleep from your eyes.

19. No, I don't want to play...
I want the Democratic party to win the fucking election.

This is not a goddamn game. This is not some cute legal strategy being deployed by a smart lawyer.

What we are seeing is a very sad display of narcissistic behavior.

It really is time for this shit to stop.

The future of our country and the world at large is not a fucking game!

13. There is no precedent in American history for asking a candidate to drop out of the race when
their opponent has not yet secured the nomination and they have this many delegates. The arrogant sense of entitlement by Obama backers is remarkable.

15. I'm not asking, I'm telling.
It's not arrogant. It's fucking common sense. She no longer cares for the party. It is all about her and power.

SHE. CAN. NOT. WIN. WITHOUT. DIVISIVE. AND. DESTRUCTIVE. LEGAL. ACTION.
SHE. WILL. DESTROY. THE. CHANCES. OF DEMOCRATIC. VICTORY. BY. DOING. SO.

WHY. IS THIS. SO. DIFFICULT. FOR. SOME. TO. UNDERSTAND?

32. It doesn't matter what you tell Hillary to do, it matters that polls show that most Democrats want
Hillary to stay in the race. If Obama wants the race to end he can win it the same way every other Democratic candidate has--win a majority of all the delegates to the convention. As it is Hillary will probably leave shortly after June 3, which is the single most generous act in modern American political history. Every other candidate would fight until the convention--and they always have.

20. Their entire "message" screams: me, Me, ME!!
Hillary is just using the Florida and Michigan thing as a Hail Mary pass. She knows damn well that she signed that agreement and for her to compare it to the 2000 election is ridiculous at best. The voters then thought they were voting in the GE, for President of the United States. The primary voters in Florida KNEW that it wasn't going to count, but voted anyway; their choice. Nevermind the fact that there have been several deals so far where the delegates would be fairly distributed by region, but it seems as though camp Clinton won't agree to anything that won't give Hillary a boost. Why the hell SHOULD she get all of the delegates; she didn't get 100% of the vote! :eyes: If she wants winner take all, she's in the wrong party..but then again, the Clintons are proving themselves to be their own party, like a law onto themselves. Changing the rules while playing the game.. :banghead:

what Lieberman did for her senate seat. Because there won't be enough Democrats to keep her in the party after a stunt like this. Kicking her out of the convention wouldn't be the worse for her.

33. No longer?
I hate to say this, but I am not sure they ever did. If they were really team players who cared more about the party than their own ambitions, would John Kerry have endorsed Obama back in January, when he was still the underdog? If they had really done everything in their power to help him get elected in 2004, publicly and behind the scenes, don't you think Kerry would have at least waited a little longer out of loyalty? And wouldn't Gore have been on board from the beginning if they were really team players?
