Thom Hartmann calls for Hillary as VP
Thom Hartmann calls for Hillary as VP

I received an email from Thom this morning, which contained the following:

The first thing Obama should do if nominated is put Hillary on the ticket. Will the Republicans have a field day with her on the ticket? Yes! Is their some bad blood in the water due to some negative campaign strategies on the part of the Clintons? Probably. Can Hillary be a tough fighter able to play tough allowing Obama to stay higher above the fray? Yes!

1. I agree with Thom about 80% of the time.
This time - not.

Hillary would be a disaster for Obama. She would try and take over.

Years ago, when Bill was running, my mother got the impression that she wanted to run everything. I vehemently disagreed, because I was very impressed with her. Turns out mother was right.

8. Thom really is pushing this "unity" ticket thing. He took some hits
from Hillary's radio goon hit squad, and suddenly became all pro Hillary, even though she has no clear path to the nomination. Thom used to be daily listening for me, but I usually only catch him on Friday, for the first hour, with Bernie Sanders now.

I know Thom reads this board, and he may even post here, but he lost his balls, and his willingness to call things as they really are. Obama needs a southern Dem, preferably with some national security credentials, and Hillary & her supporters will get over it. I'm really disappointed in Thom, he has always been a very progressive liberal type Democrat, and what he thinks Hillary adds to the ticket is beyond me.

9. Hillary would not survive vetting. She and Bill have so much RECENT dirt the Media refused to focus
on. Just because they happily swept it all under the rug doesn't mean the GOP will allow it to remain there.

Hillary Clinton is a corrupt War Pig and her husband has been pimping his days as POTUS out to foreign nationals.

They sold pardons to get votes for Hillary's Senate run.

19. It's still him. Always a peacemaker. To a fault.
Thom wants this to work SO BADLY. You can hear in his voice how disgusted he's been with Hillary over the past year.

He's just convinced that this is the only way we can keep the old women.

17. Thom is completely wrong on this one
Maybe he should read his own books??

If the policies of the last 28 years are destroying the middle class, Thom, why the hell would you want to keep one of the very people behind those policies as a VP??

18. "The ventriloquist behind these Muppets is Bill Clinton" Good Article...

"...So now, when the Clinton surrogates continue to advocate that Obama choose Senator Clinton as veep, everybody will know: It’s Bill, and not Hill, stoking the fire. When New York political insider Mark Green’s Air America sent an email blast this morning to its entire mailing list featuring the milquetoast, boring and Arbitron-ratings neglected Thom Hartmann’s plea - “Obama: Ask Hillary First” (and this Air America subscriber summarily unsubscribed from that list this morning upon receiving that piece of corporate-paid advertising), everybody knows: the ventriloquist behind these Muppets is Bill Clinton." ...

23. Thom Hartmann is mistaken on this stance. He had Ellen Radner (sp) on his show today,
right after the news of the lawsuit against the DNC just broke in Florida this afternoon.

Radner says that her sources are telling her that this is the beginning of the superdelegate *nuclear option* that Hillary claims should now override the elected delegates and to now support her as the nominee. Radner said that this turn of events is"very likely" to progress with that intent by the Clinton campaign.

Tom was speechless when he heard Radner say this. He's been trumpeting an Obama-Clinton ticket for quite a while, but it was striking to hear how he took this news today about Clinton's intentions.

Tom, get out of that quicksand before it's too late.

1. Hillary has reportedly been rebuffed by Obama as his VP pick.

2. Hillary met with FL Superdelegate Steve Geller here yesterday.

3. Geller announces today that he and 2 others are suing the DNC to seat Florida's delegates.

This woman's tactics MUST BE STOPPED.

murdered Sharon Tate, and has a secret man-crush on Dick Cheney. How could I have been so blind?

25. what a dumb idea! I used to really respect Thom Hartmann, but now I question his wisdom.
IF that ticket could even be elected, with Republicans coming out of the woodwork to vote against it and many many Democrats (like me) losing interest in and respect for Obama after such a stupid decision, she is a completely self-absorbed, narcissistic, pathological lying, backstabbing, divisive creep. She would be undermining Obama 24/7, running her little backroom deals out of her office (kind of the way Cheney does now)--gee, she could do all kinds of covert little ops with the likes of Uribe, and also make sure the neocon crimes of the last 50-60 years remain covered up. She could obstruct every piece of corporate regulatory legislation that Obama might try to work. Also, Bill could be in the spotlight, stealing it from Obama with his unending scandals, bullshit, and fawning media circus. Obama's would be the most INEFFECTUAL presidency in the history of the country as a result. Just so this cretin woman's ego can be stoked. FUCK THAT!

She is TOO desperate, and desperate people have no scruples. If I were Obama, I couldn't turn my back on her for a split second. Her ambition and greed are eating her alive.
