Obama Continues Double-Digit Lead - Majority Grows Among ALL Groups
with the exception of females over 50. I would assume their allegiance has to do with identifying with Hillary as part of their generation's struggle for equal rights.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/107407/Obama-Surge-Fairly-BroadBased.aspx

The broadening of Obama's appeal for the nomination seen in Gallup's May 16-18 polling is fairly widespread, with the percentage favoring him increasing among most demographic categories of Democratic voters. However, as a result, certain groups that were already highly supportive of Obama for the nomination -- men, 18- to 29-year-olds, postgrads, and upper-income Democrats -- are now overwhelmingly in his camp. Obama is currently favored among these groups by a 2-to-1 margin, or better, over Clinton.

At the same time, support for Clinton among some of her traditionally stalwart support groups -- women, Easterners, whites, adults with no college education, and Hispanics -- has fallen below 50%.

----------

Obama leads among BOTH Democratic and Republican highly-educated Americans

http://www.gallup.com/poll/28360/Examining-Barack-Obamas-Strong-Appeal-Highly-Educated-Americans.aspx

(this polling was done when Obama was still relatively unknown, unlike the information above, which is from May 20.)

The interesting information is this: the more people learn about Obama, the higher his favorable rating becomes. The major difference between candidates isn't among Democrats, however. The more highly educated the Republican or Independent voter, the more they support Obama. REGARDLESS of education level, INDEPENDENTS favor Obama. )

In contrast, Clinton's high negatives among all voters is widely known and has not changed very much over the course of this campaign. Tho I've seen higher figures, I'll be generous and note that she has a 50% negative perception among all voters.

----------

Is there any rational reason for super delegates to let her ruin this Democratic win? Every day that she continues to lie and create divisions among democrats is another day of harm to the Democratic Party.

3. I'm not sure what is up with Superdelegates.......
I presume that they are scared. What they don't realize is that Hillary Clinton will not gain back a lot of the votes that she has lost by those digusted in her tactics. We're not screaming it from the rooftops like Clinton supporters are, but it should be very clear, many believe, at this point, that Hillary Clinton is a disgusting person.

5. She was the only democratic primary candidate I would not vote for
I would've voted for any of the other candidates, had they won. But before this became a slugfest between her and the rest of the democratic party, I knew I would never vote for her. She has proved my reasons why.

her negatives are so high -- 53% was the last number I saw, and those numbers will only climb as she continues this divisive tactic. Since many of the super delegates are candidates themselves, I do not understand why they would let her contiinue to pull down the party. She doesn't have coat tails in strong democratic areas. Maybe they're afraid b/c they want the Clintons to campaign for them, or at least not oppose them for "disloyalty."

6. And we have to remember that she has yet to be attacked except
due to her appaling behavior during these primaries.

7. hey, FC, I think you're wrong
I think the Obama campaign has plenty of SDs on board and they're deliberately holding them back so as not to look like bullies.

this has now gone to the level of farce.

maybe they are just letting her self destruct.

9. no longer an effective tactic, imo
she is now making the party look indecisive. do they want to acknowledge the winner or not? are they willing to stand up for the obvious winner or not?

she has created a campaign based upon attacks from the right. as the numbers show, those who are her die-hard supporters are NOT every demographic that voted for her - the move is to Obama.

If I thought she would be a democratic team player till June 3, it wouldn't be such a big deal. however, since she and her surrogates create a new outrage every day, letting her continue this farce hurts the party. She obviously doesn't care about this problem, tho.
