Hillary endorsing McCain???
Edited on Thu May-22-08 02:02 PM by not_too_L8
Many of us have debated about the statements made by Clinton, do they or do they not endorse McCain. In the heat of this argument it can be forgotten that ones perspective can change ones interpretation.

When statements are made like...

"I think that I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House. Sen. John McCain has a lifetime of experience that he'd bring to the White House. And Sen. Obama has a speech he gave in 2002."

or...

“I think people across Florida and Michigan are thinking to themselves, ‘Well if the Democrats don’t want my vote, maybe John McCain and the Republicans do?’

...Intentional or not these statements could move people that don't care for Obama to shift to the McCain camp in the event that Clinton does not receive the nomination.

Don't you think it would be better for our party to refrain from such statements if we want Democrats to win in the GE.

1. A dedicated Democrat wouldn't say things like that, especially that comment from yesterday
She's inviting Democrats to defect to John McCain, which is unconscionable.

But if the rumor that she was turned down as Obama's VP are correct, her scorched earth reaction doesn't surprise me at all. First she went on the attack as her shot at winning the nomination slipped away, now she might be burning down the village if she doesn't have a chance as VP.

Pretty damned disturbing. I'm pissed off that she's acting out one of the most damaging and negative female stereotypes - the vengeful woman scorned - when things are looking bad for her.
